NASCAR Mexico is a joint-venture between NASCAR and OCESA, a Mexican entertainment company, aiming to develop, manage and operate local motorsports events and oversee television distribution, sponsorship and licensing. The venture attempts to create marketing programs to increase interest in local NASCAR events as well as NASCAR events in the United States that are televised in Mexico. Carlos Pardo
Carlos Alberto Pardo Estévez (September 15, 1975 – June 14, 2009) was a Mexican stock car racing driver from Mexico City. He was the first driver to win the NASCAR Mexico Corona Series championship. Career Pardo won 10 of his 74 NASCAR Mexico Corona Series starts and had 8 poles. He won the championship in 2004. He was third in standings in 2005 and 2006. Pardo also competed in six races in the NASCAR Camping World Series East in 2004 and 2005 and raced in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez in 2006. Death Pardo was killed in an accident which occurred on the 97th lap of a 100-lap NASCAR Mexico Corona Series race at Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in Amozoc, Puebla, on June 14, 2009. Jorge Goeters
Jorge Goeters (born June 26, 1970) is a Mexican racecar driver. At the present time, Goeters competes full-time in the NASCAR Mexico Series in Mexico. In the past few years he also competed at the international level on a limited basis, running a handful of races in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, Indy Lights, Champ Car World Series, A1 Grand Prix, and Rolex Sports Car Series. He is known for winning the pole position for the inaugural Busch Series race in Mexico City. Early career Goeters had an early start in motorsports, beginning in motocross at age 8. 2013 NASCAR Toyota Series Season
The 2013 NASCAR Toyota Series was the seventh season of the NASCAR Toyota Series, and the tenth organized by NASCAR Mexico. The season was composed by fifteen races. For first time, the series raced outside of Mexico, with a race in the Phoenix International Raceway. Jorge Goeters returned as reigning champion, and took part in the 2013 UNOH Battle at the Beach. Rodrigo Peralta was the champion of 2013 season and Santiago Tovar was declared the Rookie of the Year. 2012 NASCAR Toyota Series Season
The 2012 NASCAR Toyota Series was the sixth NASCAR Series and the ninth organized by NASCAR Mexico. It was contested over 14 races. Chihuahua was added to calendar, while Guadalajara which was supposed to return after a one-year hiatus was later cancelled and replaced by Monterrey and Tuxtla Gutiérrez was also removed for the year. Germán Quiroga was the defending Driver's Champion however he left the series to compete in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Teams and drivers 37 drivers competed in the first race. 2011 NASCAR Corona Series Season
The 2011 NASCAR Corona Series was the eighth season of the Corona Series and was organized by NASCAR Mexico. The season was composed by fourteen races in seven venues across Mexico. The season started in Monterrey with the Regia 200, and finished in Mexico City in the Mexico Fest 200. Six drivers won races being Homero Richards the most winner with five. Mónica Morales won the owners championship for third time and Germán Quiroga successful defend his championship, winning his third championship. The 2010 NASCAR Corona Series was the seventh season of the Corona Series, which was organized by NASCAR Mexico. The season was composed by fourteen races. Germán Quiroga Jr. (born May 29, 1980) is a Mexican professional stock car racing driver. In 2011, he became the first three-time NASCAR Corona Series champion. Antonio Pérez Mendoza (born 20 March 1986) is a Mexican retired stock car racing driver. He last competed in the NASCAR Mexico Series, driving the No. 1 Toyota for Jimmy Morales.
