2011 European Diving Championships
The 2011 European Diving Championships was the secondedition of the European Diving Championships and took part from 8–13 March 2011 in Turin, Italy. For the second time, the event was held separately from the European Swimming Championships. The event was held on Monumentale Diving Stadium. The former capital of Italy was hosting European Diving Championships for the third time after 1954 and 2009. The 2011 Championships were also an event within the frame of the 150-year celebrations of the unification of Italy. A total of ten disciplines was on the schedule. Tania Cagnotto
Tania Cagnotto (; born 15 May 1985) is an Italian diver. She is the first female Italian diver to win a medal in a World Championship. A five-time Olympian, she won medals in both individual and synchronized springboard diving in her final appearance at the Olympics in 2016. She is also a 20-time champion at the European level. Biography Tania Cagnotto was born in Bolzano, the daughter of Giorgio Cagnotto and Carmen Casteiner. Her parents were both Olympic divers, with her father winning four Olympic medals in the 1970s and 1980s. Cagnotto was sponsored by the sport section of the Italian police force, GN Fiamme Gialle – Bolzano Nuoto. Iuliia Prokopchuk
Yulia Anatoliyivna Prokopchuk ( uk, Юлія Анатоліївна Прокопчук, also transliterated Yuliia or Iuliia; born 23 October 1986) is a retired Ukrainian diver. She has won seven gold medals at the European Championships and two medals (silver and bronze) at the World Championships. Career Prokopchuk participated in the 10 m platform event at the 2008 Summer Olympics. With her partner, Viktoriya Potyekhina, she won the silver medal in the 10 m synchro event of the European Aquatics Championships. Christin Steuer (born 6 March 1983 in West Berlin, West Germany) is a diver from Germany who won the bronze medal at the 2007 and 2011 World Aquatics Championships competing in the women's 10 meter synchronized platform. She has also won a European bronze medal in this discipline. Nora Subschinski (born 5 June 1988 in East Berlin, East Germany) is a German diver. She participates in the 3m springboard and 10m platform competitions. She won the bronze medal at the 2007 and 2011 world championships. She won four gold and four silver medals at the LEN European Aquatics Championships, together with her 24 German championships. At the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics, she competed in the women's synchronised 10 m platform with Annett Gamm. In 2004, the team finished in 6th, while in 2008 they finished in 4th. Noemi Batki (born 12 October 1987) is a Hungarian-born Italian former diver. She was a member of the Italian National Diving Team at four Olympic Games and was a member of the sports section of the Italian Army, Centro Sportivo Esercito, and Triestina Nuoto. Career Batki was born in Budapest, Hungary. Her mother Ibolya Nagy was a Hungarian platform diver who took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. At the age of 3 Batki moved to Belluno, Italy. Uschi Freitag (born 19 August 1989) is a German-Dutch female diver. Until 2012 she represented Germany at international competitions, and since 2013 the Netherlands. She has a German father. She competed at for Germany at the 2011 World Aquatics Championships and later for the Netherlands at the 2013 and 2015 World Aquatics Championships. Her first international medal was at the 2011 European Diving Championships where she won together with the German Katja Dieckow the bronze medal in the 3 m springboard synchro event.
