2010–11 Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team represented the University of Minnesota in the college basketball season of 2010–2011. The team's head coach, Tubby Smith was in his fourth year at Minnesota. The Golden Gophers played their home games at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota and were members of the Big Ten Conference. Season The Gophers began their season without Devoe Joseph, who was suspended for 6 regular season games due to a violation of team rules. Despite this, the Gophers won the early season Puerto Rico Tip-Off tournament by defeating Western Kentucky, then 8th-ranked North Carolina, and West Virginia. Tubby Smith
Orlando Henry "Tubby" Smith (born June 30, 1951) is an American college basketball coach who last coached the men's basketball team at High Point University, his alma mater. Smith previously served in the same role at the University of Tulsa, the University of Georgia, the University of Kentucky, the University of Minnesota, Texas Tech University, and the University of Memphis. With Kentucky, he coached the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA championship. In his 31 years as a head coach, Smith achieved 26 winning seasons. In 2005, he joined Roy Williams, Nolan Richardson, Denny Crum, and Jim Boeheim as the only head coaches to win 365 games in 15 seasons or fewer. Camden High School (Minneapolis)
Camden High School, or simply Camden, is a public secondary school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It is located in and named after the Camden neighborhood. It had a student population of about 1,000 by the early 2020s. In 2023, the school board approved renaming the building from Patrick Henry High School to Camden High School, effective July 1, 2024. The school is sometimes still referred to as Patrick Henry or Henry High School. Henry Sibley High School
Two Rivers High School (formerly known as Henry Sibley High School), in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, United States, was founded in 1954. The school was built in 1971 to serve students in grades 9–12. Today, it serves students in grades 9–12 and houses the district’s administrative offices. It underwent extensive remodeling of several areas in the school after a facilities and technology referendum passed in 2004. Brewster Academy is a co-educational independent boarding school located on in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, United States. It occupies of shoreline along Lake Winnipesaukee. Maverick Frankera Ahanmisi (born July 17, 1991) is an American-born Filipino-Nigerian professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
