Maverick Ahanmisi
Mauerick Frankera Ahanmisi (born July 17, 1991) is an American-born Filipino-Nigerian professional basketball player for the Converge FiberXers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). High school career Ahanmisi spent a year at Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, California, but he graduated from Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita, California in 2009. As a senior, he averaged 20.2 points per game and finished his career as all-time leading scorer and three-point shooter at GVHS. He played AAU basketball at Branch West Basketball Academy under the tutelage of Bob Gottlieb. In 2010, he signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Minnesota. College career Ahanmisi played college basketball at University of Minnesota, an NCAA Division I school, from 2010–2014, mostly in a reserve role. The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association owned by Asian Coatings Philippines, Inc. It debuted in the league in the 2006–07 PBA season after acquiring the franchise rights of the Shell Turbo Chargers in 2006, which disbanded after the 2004–05 PBA season. History The PBA D-League was conceptualized after the collapse of the proposed merger between the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas after the staging of the ''Tournament of the Philippines'' which was composed by PBL and Liga Pilipinas teams. PBA Commissioner Chito Salud proposed the formation of a PBA D-League, which will fill the void left by the PBL. On January 25, 2011, the PBA Board of Governors approved the proposal. 2015 PBA Draft
The 2015 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event which allows teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The event was held at the Midtown Atrium, Robinsons Place Manila on August 23, 2015. From this draft on, the league abandoned its lottery system after the controversies that surrounded the previous year's draft. Instead, the league determined the drafting order based on the performance of the member teams for the 2014–15 season, with the worst team picking first. Richard Andrew Pitino (born September 18, 1952) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach for Iona College. He was also the head coach of Greece's senior national team. Richard William Pitino (born September 16, 1982) is an American college basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of the New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team. Bob Gottlieb
Robert Henry Gottlieb (January 20, 1940 – November 23, 2014) was an American basketball coach for the NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee team from 1975–1980, and was also the head coach of Jacksonville University for two years prior. He was the father of basketball analyst and sports talk radio host Doug Gottlieb and Grand Canyon University assistant coach Gregg Gottlieb. He compiled a 62–70 record (.470) in five seasons for UW–Milwaukee, a transitioning NCAA Division I Independent at the time.
