European Tour
The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984. Joakim Haeggman
Karl Sven Joakim Haeggman (born 28 August 1969) is a Swedish professional golfer who formerly played on the European Tour. He was the first Swede to play in the Ryder Cup. Early life Haeggman was born in Kalmar on the east coast of the province of Småland in Sweden. He grew up close to the golf course at Kalmar Golf Club and learned the game without golf playing parents. He won the unofficial 1985 Swedish Youth Championship, Colgate Cup, at his age level (16 years old) Amateur career In 1986, Haeggman won the Swedish Junior Under 19 Championship. As a 19 year old, Haeggman won the 1988 French Open Amateur Stroke-play Championship at Chantilly, north of Paris, shooting a score of level par 288. Alexandre Kaleka
Alexandre Kaleka (born 6 March 1987) is a French professional golfer. Kaleka turned professional in July 2009 and won his first tournament as a professional, the Allianz EurOpen de Lyon on the Challenge Tour. The win gave him a full exemption on the Challenge Tour in 2010, where a consistent season saw him finish in 20th place on the Order of Merit, giving him the final available European Tour card for 2011. He further improved his status at the end-of-year qualifying school. He struggled in his rookie year on the European Tour, making only 10 of 27 cuts while finishing 159th on the Order of Merit. Fredrik Ohlsson (golfer)
Fredrik Ohlsson (born 4 September 1979) is a Swedish professional golfer. Career Ohlsson spent four years playing golf at Francis Marion University in the United States, and turned professional after graduating in 2004. He spent his early career playing on the third tier Nordic League in Scandinavia, where he won once. In 2007 he qualified to play on the Challenge Tour, and spent three years at that level, recording two top-10s in 2008. At the end of 2009, he came through qualifying school to join the European Tour for the first time. Despite a disappointing first season, he returned to the school and regained his playing rights for 2011. Stephen Michael Lewton (born 5 May 1983) is an English professional golfer who plays primarily in Asia. He won the 2014 Mercuries Taiwan Masters on the Asian Tour. Amateur career Lewton played college golf in the United States at North Carolina State University from 2002 to 2006, winning twice. He was runner-up in the 2006 European Amateur behind Rory McIlroy. George Coetzee
George William Coetzee (born 18 July 1986) is a South African professional golfer. He has won five tournaments on the European Tour and 13 on the Sunshine Tour, where he has also topped the Order of Merit on two occasions. Early life Coetzee was born in Pretoria and matriculated from the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in 2004. Matthew Nixon (born 12 June 1989) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Nixon was a top amateur golfer nationwide from an early age; he won the Boys Amateur Championship in 2006 at the age of 17, and played in the Jacques Léglise Trophy that year. He played for the national side from 2006 onwards, and was ranked as high as 14th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. In the USA, he was ranked 7th in the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking. Thomas Nørret
Thomas Nørret (born 17 February 1974) is a Danish professional golfer. Career Nørret turned professional in 1999 at the relatively late age of 25, having spent time studying in both Denmark and the United States. He immediately joined the second-tier Challenge Tour and found instant success, posting two runners-up finishes in his debut season and finishing 25th in the final standings, just outside the automatic qualifiers for the European Tour. Nørret became a Challenge Tour regular over the following seasons, claiming his first win in 2002 at the Volvo Finnish Open after a six-month break, but never improved on his 1999 performance, and in 2009 he took a break from tournament golf to manage young players, returning only for a few events in 2006 and 2009. Asian Tour
The Asian Tour is the principal men's professional golf tour in Asia except for Japan, which has its own Japan Golf Tour, which is also a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. Official money events on the tour count for World Golf Ranking points. The Asian Tour is administered from Singapore. Jason Knutzon
Jason Knutzon (born January 24, 1976) is an American professional golfer. Knutzon is a member of the Asian Tour and the European Tour. He is one of few Americans who mainly play on the Asian Tour. Knutzon has been to PGA Tour Qualifying School once. He entered in 2000 but failed to earn a tour card. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2001 but he only made 7 of 19 cuts and was unable to retain his card. Knutzon joined the Asian Tour in 2003.
