Syrian Premier League
The Syrian Premier League ( ar, الدوري السوري الممتاز) is a professional association football league in Syria and the top division in of the Syrian football league system. The league comprises 12 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Syrian League 1st Division. The Syrian Premier League was founded in 1966, unifying the local leagues that had existed previously. Seasons mostly run from August to May. The first team to win the title was Al-Ittihad in 1967, whilst Al-Jaish has the record with 17 league titles. Their closest rivals, Al-Karamah, have won the league 8 times. In the beginning, the main tournament was the first division, then the SFA developed the competition in a historic step that allowed the participation of foreign players to turn the competition into a professional league. Al-Hasakah
Al-Hasakah ( ar, ٱلْحَسَكَة, al-Ḥasaka; ku, Heseke/حەسەکە; syr, ܚܣܝܟܐ Hasake), is the capital city of the Al-Hasakah Governorate, in the northeastern corner of Syria. Abbasiyyin Stadium
The Abbasiyyin Stadium ( ar, مَلْعَب ٱلْعَبَّاسِيِّين, Malʿab al-ʿAbbāsīyīn) is a multi-use all-seater stadium in Damascus, Syria, currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home venue of the Syrian national team. The stadium which was built in 1976 is able to hold up to 30,000 spectators, being the 4th largest stadium in Syria. History The stadium was originally opened in 1957 with a capacity of 10,000 spectators, to host football matches and local athletics events. On the occasion of the 5th Pan Arab Games in 1976, the stadium was entirely renovated and the capacity was expanded up to 40,000 spectators. The Aleppo International Stadium ( ar, ملعب حلب الدولي) is an Olympic-standard, multi-use, all-covered and all-seater stadium in the Syrian city of Aleppo. Al-Hamadaniah Stadium
Al-Hamadaniah Stadium ( ar, ملعب الحمدانية) is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Aleppo, Syria. It is mostly used for football matches and has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. Al-Hamadaniah Stadium is part of the Al-Hamadaniah Sports City. Since 2007, the stadium is served by a nearby artificial turf-football training ground with a capacity of 816 seats. Afrin, Syria
Afrin; ar, عفرين, Ifrīn. is a city in northern Syria. In the Afrin District, it is part of the Aleppo Governorate. The total population of the district was recorded at 172,095 people, of whom 36,562 lived in the town of Afrin itself. The town and district are named after the Afrin River. The city is split into two distinct halves by the river. Al-Ittihad Sports Club of Aleppo ( ar, نادي الاتحاد الرياضي الحلبي) is a professional multi-sports club based in the Syrian city of Aleppo, mostly known for its football team which competes in the Syrian Premier League, the top league of Syrian football.
