2009–10 Boston University Terriers Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Boston University Terriers men's basketball team represented Boston University in the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Terriers were led by head coach Patrick Chambers in his first year leading the team after being hired as head coach in April of 2009. Boston University played their home games at Agganis Arena and Case Gym in Boston, Massachusetts, as members of the America East Conference. The Terriers finished conference play with an 11–5 record, earning the fourth seed in the America East tournament. Boston University made a run to the America East Championship game, but were defeated in the title game by Vermont. Boston University failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, but were invited to the 2010 College Basketball Invitational. Patrick Chambers
Patrick Brian Chambers (born December 13, 1970) is an American college basketball coach and is the current head coach at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is formerly the head men's basketball coach at Penn State and Boston University. Biography Born in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, Chambers played collegiate basketball at Philadelphia University from 1990 to 1994. Despite joining the team without a scholarship, he left it as the starting point guard and the team record-holder in assists. He is currently 7th all-time in steals and led the team to four NCAA Division II Sweet 16 appearances and two Elite Eight finishes. Chambers took over for Dennis Wolff as the head coach at Boston University following the 2008–09 season. He was previously the associate head coach at Villanova University. Townsend is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 9,127 at the 2020 census. History Townsend was first settled by Europeans in 1676 in an area known by indigenous people of the area as Wistequassuck, and was officially incorporated in 1732.
