2009 Women's County Championship
The 2009 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 13th cricket Women's County Championship season. It ran from May to September and saw 30 county teams and teams representing Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands compete in a series of divisions. Kent Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division, going through the season unbeaten and winning their third title. Competition format Teams played matches within a series of divisions with the winners of the top division being crowned County Champions. Matches were played using a one day format with 50 overs per side. The championship works on a points system with positions within the divisions being based on the total points. Points were awarded as follows: Win: 20 points. Tie: 15 points. Loss: Bonus points. Abandoned or No Result: 10 points. Cancelled No Play: 5 points. The Surrey Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Surrey. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Reed's School Ground, Cobham, as well as The Oval and Woodbridge Road, Guildford. In 2019, Surrey played in Division One of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since played in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. Worcestershire Women Cricket Team
The Worcestershire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Worcestershire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Chester Road, Kidderminster and Stourbridge Road, Himley. They are captained by Chloe Hill. In 2019, they played in Division Two of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. The Staffordshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Staffordshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Tunstall Road, Knypersley and are captained by Stephanie Butler. In 2019, they played in Division Three of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the West Midlands regional side Central Sparks. Scotland National Women's Cricket Team
The Scotland women's national cricket team, nicknamed the Wildcats, represents Scotland in international women's cricket. The team is organised by Cricket Scotland, an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Scotland was involved in the first international women's cricket match, when they played against England in August 1932. The team played sporadically throughout the remainder of the 20th century, with regular competition beginning only in 2000. Scotland's first international tournament was the 2001 European Championship, where matches held One Day International (ODI) status. The Devon Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Devon. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Knighthayes Court, Bolham and the County Ground, Exeter. They are captained by Steph Hutchins. The Derbyshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Derbyshire. They play their home games at St George's Road, Harrogate, and are captained by Hollie Armitage. The Lancashire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Lancashire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Beaconsfield Road, Widnes. They are coached by Chris Chambers and captained by Eleanor Threlkeld.
