2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship
The 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship was played April 2–5 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. This was the 38th edition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 27th as a women's major golf championship. Brittany Lincicome, age 23, eagled the final hole to win her first major, one stroke ahead of runner-up the victory was her third on the LPGA Tour. Down a stroke on the 72nd hole, Lincicome's second shot at the par-5 stopped within of the flagstick and she sank the putt. Defending champion Lorena Ochoa finished eight strokes back, tied for twelfth. Rancho Mirage is a city in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 17,218 at the 2010 census, up from 13,249 at the 2000 census, but the seasonal (part-time) population can exceed 20,000. Incorporated in 1973 and located between Cathedral City and Palm Desert, it is one of the nine cities of the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area). Oh Ji-young (golfer)
Ji-Young Oh ( ko, 오지영, born 3 July 1988) is a South Korean professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Oh started playing golf at the age of 12 and was named to the Korean National Team in 2005 at the age of 16. In 2006, she came to the United States and enrolled at the Leadbetter Academy. She played on the Future Collegians World Tour, a second tier amateur golf league, and won all six events she entered. Meaghan Francella
Meaghan Francella (born May 12, 1982) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Francella was born in Port Chester, New York and was twice the New York State Junior Champion. She attended high school at the School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York. After high school, she attended the University of Memphis, where she was named Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2001. Francella transferred to the University of North Carolina for her junior year. While at North Carolina she was the 2003 Atlantic Coast Conference individual champion and was an NCAA First-Team All-American in 2004. Francella graduated with a degree in communications in 2005. Pat Hurst (born May 23, 1969) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Hurst's mother is originally from Japan and her father is an American of German heritage. She was born in San Leandro, California, and raised in the Bay Area. Amateur career As an amateur, Hurst won the 1986 U.S. Girls' Junior and the 1990 U.S. Women's Amateur. In 1989 Hurst was also a U.S. Women's Amateur medalist and was a member of the 1990 U.S. Espirito Santo Trophy team. Helen Christine Alfredsson (born 9 April 1965) is a Swedish professional golfer who played primarily on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and is also a life member of the Ladies European Tour. Lindsey Elizabeth Wright (born 31 December 1979) is an Australian professional golfer playing on the LPGA Tour. She earned exempt status for the 2004 LPGA season in 2003, and has been competing full-time on the Tour since. Christina Kim (born March 15, 1984) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She is known for her animated style of play, flamboyant dress, and outgoing personality. Kim competed in eight events in 2001 on the Futures Tour and made three cuts and a tied for second once.
