2008 Ladies European Tour
The 2008 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from January through December 2008. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tour featured 28 official money events with prize money totalling more than €10.5 million, as well as the Women's World Cup of Golf and the European Ladies Golf Cup. Gwladys Nocera won the Order of Merit with earnings of €391,839.58, ahead of Helen Alfredsson, who finished second despite only having played in three events. Melissa Reid won Rookie of the Year honours, after finishing 12th in the Order of Merit. Tournament results The table below shows the 2008 schedule. Gwladys Nocera
Gwladys Nocera (born 22 May 1975) is a French professional golfer. She currently resides in Biarritz, France. Amateur career Nocera was born in Moulins, Allier. She had a successful amateur career. She finished runner up at the 1998 British Ladies Amateur Championship, was a member of the victorious European championship French team in 1999 and the youngest ever winning captain in the 2000 Espirito Santo Trophy (World Amateur Golf Team Championships). She was a playing member of the 2002 French Espirito Santo Trophy team. She was runner up at the 2002 French Amateur Championship, 2002 French International Champion and 2002 German International champion. She holds a degree in international business from New Mexico State University. Rebecca Emma Gisela Hudson (born 13 June 1979 in Doncaster, England) is an English professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Hudson had a very successful junior and amateur career. She was Yorkshire Girls Champion in 1994, Yorkshire Champion 1995,1997 and 1998, English Girls Champion in 1995 and 1996 and won the Daily Telegraph Junior Golfer of the Year Award in 1994, 1995 and 1997. Anne-Lise Caudal
Anne-Lise Caudal (born 26 June 1984) is a French professional golfer. Caudal has won two tournaments on the Ladies European Tour, the 2008 Ladies Open of Portugal and the 2012 Ladies German Open, where she beat Laura Davies in a playoff. She also finished runner-up at the 2008 Tenerife Ladies Open after losing a playoff to Rebecca Hudson, and at the 2009 European Nations Cup, representing France together with Gwladys Nocera. Amy Yang, also known as Yang Hee-Young ( ko, 양희영, born 28 July 1989) is a South Korean professional golfer, currently playing on the United States-based LPGA Tour and on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Amateur career Yang began playing golf at age 10 in South Korea and moved to the Gold Coast of Australia with her family at age 15 to pursue golf more seriously. Suzann Pettersen
Suzann Pettersen (born 7 April 1981) is a retired Norwegian professional golfer. She played mainly on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour, and was also a member of the Ladies European Tour. Her career best world ranking was second and she held that position several times, most recently from August 2011 until February 2012. The Ladies Swiss Open is a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour that is held in Switzerland. It was first played in 1996 and 1997, the first LET event in Switzerland since the Ladies Swiss Classic (1988–1990). It was played 2006–2012 with Deutsche Bank as the title sponsor. Lotta Wahlin
Lotta Wahlin (born 13 December 1983 in Linköping) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She played on the Ladies European Tour 2006–2012 and won three events in 2008. Professional career Wahlin turned professional in June 2004, as she took a step up from the Teen Tour Elite circuit to join the Swedish Golf Tour. Between 2005 and 2010 she won five titles on the tour, including back-to-back victories in the Rejmes Ladies Open, and a triumph in the final of the Swedish Matchplay Championship against Kaisa Ruuttila.
