2008 FC Zenit Saint Petersburg Season
The 2008 Zenit St.Petersburg season was the club's fourteenth season in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia. Domestically, Zenit finished fifth in the Russian Premier League, reached the Fifth round of the 2008–09 Russian Cup and won the Russian Super Cup. In Europe, Zenit won the 2007–08 UEFA Cup and the 2008 UEFA Super Cup before finishing third in their Champions League group. Aleksandr Gennadyevich Anyukov (russian: Александр Геннадьевич Анюков; born 28 September 1982) is a Russian association football coach and a former player, who played as a right-back. He is an assistant coach with FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. He made his senior debut in 2004, represented his nation for two European Championships and earned over 70 international appearances. MŠK Žilina () is a Slovak football club based in the town of Žilina, that is playing in the Slovak Superliga. Tomáš Hubočan (; born 17 September 1985) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a defender for Cypriot club Karmiotissa. He made his senior international debut in 2006. Nicolas Robert Christian Lombaerts (born 20 March 1985) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back and current assistant manager of K.A.A. Gent. Kim Dong-jin (born 29 January 1982) is a former South Korean footballer who played as a full-back or a wing-back. He is currently the assistant coach of Hong Kong Premier League club Kitchee. Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski (), previously Groclin Grodzisk Wielkopolski, was a Polish football club based in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Greater Poland Voivodeship.
