Ivica Križanac
Ivica Križanac (born 13 April 1979) is a Croatian retired professional footballer who played as a defender. Club career Križanac was born in Split. He played for Górnik Zabrze of Poland where he became one of Polish league's best players. Following a two-year stay at Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski he joined Russian Premier League side Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2005. He played in the 2008 UEFA Cup Final for Zenith, winning the biggest trophy of his career after beating Glasgow Rangers. Križanac was released by Zenit Saint Petersburg in January 2011, after spending six seasons at the club. International career Križanac made his international debut for Croatia in a friendly match against Slovenia on 20 August 2008 in Maribor, coming on as a half-time substitute for Dario Šimić. 2006 Russian Premier League
The 2006 Russian Premier League was the 55th season of the premier football competition in Russia since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the 5th under the current Russian Premier League name. The season started on 17 March 2006 and ended on 26 November 2006. Defending champions CSKA Moscow claimed their second successive title on 18 November 2006 with an away win over Luch-Energiya Vladivostok. Spartak Moscow finished runners-up, level on points with CSKA but ranked behind due to fewer wins (see Tie-breaking criteria below). Lokomotiv Moscow finished third. Dario Šimić
Dario Šimić (; born 12 November 1975) is a Croatian former footballer. Šimić was a versatile defender who played as full-back, sweeper or centre back; a physical and hard-tackling defender, he was known in particular for his strength and ability in the air. A product of Dinamo Zagreb Academy, he later played for Serie A sides Inter Milan and A.C. Milan and Ligue 1 side Monaco, before returning to Dinamo Zagreb in 2010, where he retired from the game during the same year. Šimić played for Croatia national football team between 1996 and 2008.
