2008 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Season
The 2008 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season was the eighteenth Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season. The season began at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on May 3 and finished at the Circuit de Catalunya on October 19, after fourteen rounds. Four drivers went into the final meeting with a shot of winning the title, with Valtteri Bottas coming out on top, to claim his second title in the year. Alexander Sims (racing Driver)
Alexander Sims (born 15 March 1988, in London) is a British professional racing driver, currently competing in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship for Mahindra Racing. Previously Sims has driven for BMW i Andretti Motorsport for two years, winning one race in Saudi Arabia. Sims was the winner of the 2008 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award for promising young British drivers. Career Karting Sims' kart racing career started in 1998 when he started competing in club competitions. Michele Faccin
Michele "Miky" Faccin (born January 19, 1990, in Padova) is a professional racing driver from Italy. Career Karting Faccin began his motorsport career in karting back in 2002, and two years later finished fourth in the Italian Championship ICA Junior class. In 2005, he finished as runner-up in the same category whilst also competing in the Italian Open Masters and European Championship ICA Junior classes. Formula Azzurra In 2006, aged just sixteen years old, Faccin made his debut in single-seaters, racing in the Formula Azzurra series in his native Italy. Adrian Rodney Quaife-Hobbs (born 3 February 1991) is a British racing driver, notable for being the youngest driver to win the T Cars championship and the youngest ever winner of a MSA-sanctioned car racing series. Daniel Zampieri (born 22 May 1990, in Rome) is an Italian racing driver. Career Formula Renault After a two-year international karting career, Zampieri moved up to Formula Renault with BVM Racing in 2006. Making his debut in Italian Formula Renault at Spa–Francorchamps, Zampieri finished 17th and 18th on début. His best finish of the championship came at another Formula One venue, Hockenheim, when he finished eleventh in the opening race. Kazimieras "Kazim" Vasiliauskas (born 2 August 1990) is a Lithuanian former racing driver. Racing career Karting Vasiliauskas was born in Kaišiadorys.
