2007 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2007 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held in Oberstdorf, Germany from February 26 to March 4. The event is open to figure skaters from ISU member nations who have reached the age of 13 by 1 July the previous year, but have not yet turned 19. The upper age limit for men competing in pairs and dance is 21. Skaters compete in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The term "Junior" refers to the age level rather than the skill level. Therefore, some of the skaters competing have competed nationally and internationally at the senior level, but are still age-eligible for World Juniors. The compulsory dance was the Silver Samba. Oberstdorf
Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. Free Skating
The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program. Its duration, across all disciplines, is four minutes for senior skaters and teams, and three and one-half minutes for junior skaters and teams. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014—2015 season. Adrian Schultheiss
Adrian Alexander Konstantin Schultheiss (born 11 August 1988) is a Swedish former competitive figure skater. He is the 2006 Swedish national champion, the 2004–2005 Swedish junior national champion, and the 2006 Nordic Champion. He is the first Swedish skater to win a Junior Grand Prix event, which he did in 2005. Career Adrian Schultheiss was born in Kungsbacka, Sweden and began skating at the age of three. He was the Swedish novice champion in 2002 before debuting internationally the next season. Schultheiss skated as a junior through the end of the 2008 season, although by 2005 he had already begun competing as a senior in some international events. Philipp Tischendorf
Philipp Tischendorf (born 7 June 1988) is a German former competitive figure skater. He is the 2007 German national silver medalist and competed at two ISU Championships. Personal life Philipp Tischendorf was born on 7 June 1988 in Berlin, Germany. In 1994, he began attending the Werner-Seelenbinder-School in Berlin, a special school for sportsmen. His mother was a gymnast, his father played volleyball in the second highest league in East Germany, his brother Robert played football for BFC Dynamo Berlin, and his sister Nadine and brother Max practiced figure skating. Kim Lucine (born 16 September 1988) is a French figure skater who skates internationally for Monaco. He is the 2010 Ondrej Nepela Memorial silver medalist and 2013 Nordic bronze medalist. Career Lucine represented France intentionally at the novice and junior level. Following a knee injury, he began competing for Monaco in the 2010-2011 season. Joey Russell
Joey Russell (born June 24, 1988 in Labrador City) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He competed at four ISU Championships; his best result was 11th, achieved at the 2007 World Junior Championships in Oberstdorf and at the 2010 Four Continents Championships in Jeonju. Eliot Halverson
Eliot Jon Halverson (born November 8, 1990) is an American figure skater. As a men's singles skater, she is the 2007 US Junior National Champion. Personal life Halverson was born in Bogotá, Colombia and was adopted from Colombia at age five months. She lived and trained in Saint Paul, Minnesota from her move to the United States until 2008, when she began training in Ann Arbor. Halverson's parents are divorced and she lives with her mother. (born March 9, 1990) is a Japanese retired figure skater. He is the 2014 World silver medalist, the 2010 Four Continents silver medalist, and the 2013–14 Japanese national silver medalist. Artem Igorevich Borodulin (russian: Артём Игоревич Бородулин, born 9 March 1989) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2008 World Junior silver medalist and competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics, finishing 13th. Personal life Artem Borodulin was born on 9 March 1989 in Perm, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union.
