The 2006–07 season in Hong Kong football, starting July 2006 and ending June 2007: Overview The number of teams in the First Division will increase from eight to ten as the HKFA has decided to keep the two bottom teams last season, South China and Hong Kong 08, in the First Division, while HKFC and Wofoo Tai Po are promoted. Wofoo Tai Po, who earned promotion to the First Division by finishing second in the Second Division, will play their first ever season in the top division of Hong Kong football. Hong Kong First Division League
The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. Competition format Each team plays the other teams in the division twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. The top two teams in the league are offered promotion to the Premier League while the bottom two are relegated to the Hong Kong Second Division. Xiangxue Sun Hei
Sun Hei Sports Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top flight, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League. History Sun Hei entered the Hong Kong First Division under the name Golden () in the 1994–95 season. In 1996, Golden under the name Golden XI played against England. England was in Hong Kong preparing for the UEFA Euro 1996 later in the summer. It was in Hong Kong that Paul Gascoigne's famous dentist chair incident took place. Casemiro Mior
Casemiro Mior is a Brazilian football manager and former footballer. During his career as a footballer, he played for Grêmio, Internacional and Internacional de Limeira. He was infamously sent off in the 1989 Grenal of the Century while he was playing with Internacional against Gremio. In 2002, Mior was appointed to be the head coach of Hong Kong. He coached C.D. Nacional of Portugal for two seasons, from 2003-2005. After that, he returned to his native Brazil to coach CA Paranaense and Avaí FC. In 2007, Mior was appointed to be the head coach of Hong Kong League XI to compete in 2007 Lunar New Year Cup. The team finished last after losing both matches after penalty shootout. Bangladesh National Football Team

Qatar National Football Team
The Qatar national football team ( ar, منتخب قطر لكرة القدم) represents Qatar in international football, and is controlled by the Qatar Football Association and AFC. The team has appeared in ten Asian Cup tournaments and won it once in 2019, beating Japan, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea in the process, conceding just one goal. 2007 AFC Asian Cup Qualification
The 2007 AFC Asian Cup qualification was held in late 2005 and the final qualification round was held from February to November 2006 with 25 nations participating. For the first time, the defending champions (Japan), did not earn an automatic berth in the finals and had to compete in the qualification tournament. Twelve teams from top two of each groups joined with four host nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam) qualify for the final tournament. Cristiano Preigchadt Cordeiro (; born 14 August 1973) is a former professional footballer. He is currently the assistant coach of Hong Kong Premier League club Eastern. Born in Brazil, he represented Hong Kong at international level. Club career Cordeiro started his career at Rio Grande do Sul playing at Sport Club Internacional since he was 14.
