Shahid Ghandi Yazd
Shahid Ghandi Yazd Football Club is an Iranian football team based in Yazd, Iran. They have played the most times in thrde Azadegan League. The team was heavily supported by the people of Yazd, and was Yazd's first team in the highest football league in Iran. They entered to the Iran Pro League only one season in 2005–06. Now this team is playing in League 2 (Iran), the second division of Iran's football pyramid. Club history The club was originally known as Shahid Ghandi Yazd, but after one season in the IPL, the club finished last and was relegated. Their main sponsor, the ''Yazd Cable Company'' was facing financial problems and could not afford to sponsor the team any longer. At first it appeared as if the club would be forced to fold altogether, but on July 20, 2006, a new set of sponsors came forward and the team was renamed Esteghlal Yazd. Football Club Nassaji Mazandaran ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال نساجی مازندران, ''Bâšgâh-e Futbâl-e Nassaji Mazandaran'') is an Iranian football club based in Qa'em Shahr, Mazandaran. 2005–06 Iran Pro League
The 2005–06 Iran Pro League was the 23rd season of Iran's Football League and fifth as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Foolad were the defending champions. The season featured 14 teams from the 2004–05 Iran Pro League and two new teams promoted from the 2004–05 Azadegan League: Shahid Ghandi as champions and Rah Ahan as runner-up. Ekbatan Town ( fa, شهرک اکباتان, ) is a planned town in western Tehran, Iran. It is located approximately five kilometers west of central Tehran. Etymology The town is named after Ecbatana, the capital city of the ancient Median Empire around 700 BC. It was the first capital of ancient Iranians to be established in Western Asia, and is the ancestor of the modern city of Hamedan. The Karun ( fa, کارون, ) is the Iranian river with the highest water flow, and its only navigable river. It is long. It rises in the Zard Kuh mountains of the Bakhtiari district in the Zagros Range, receiving many tributaries, such as the Dez and the Kuhrang, before passing through the capital of the Khuzestan Province of Iran, the city of Ahvaz before emptying to its mouth into Arvand Rud (Shatt al-Arab).
