Shahid Ghandi Yazd
Shahid Ghandi Yazd Football Club is an Iranian football team based in Yazd, Iran. They have played the most times in thrde Azadegan League. The team was heavily supported by the people of Yazd, and was Yazd's first team in the highest football league in Iran. They entered to the Iran Pro League only one season in 2005–06. Now this team is playing in League 2 (Iran), the second division of Iran's football pyramid. Club history The club was originally known as Shahid Ghandi Yazd, but after one season in the IPL, the club finished last and was relegated. Their main sponsor, the ''Yazd Cable Company'' was facing financial problems and could not afford to sponsor the team any longer. At first it appeared as if the club would be forced to fold altogether, but on July 20, 2006, a new set of sponsors came forward and the team was renamed Esteghlal Yazd. Nassiri Stadium, Yazd
The Shahid Nassiri Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yazd, Iran. It is part of the much larger Shahid Nassiri Sports Complex. It is used mostly for football matches. Iran Football's 2nd Division
Iranian football's 2nd division ( fa, ليگ دسته دوم ایران) is the third-highest football division overall in the Iranian football league system. Before 2001, the 2nd division league was the second-highest division in Iranian football league system, however, this was changed to third-highest division when Iran's football structure officially became professional. The league consists of two, fourteen team groups who play each other twice in a home and away format. The first and second placed teams in each group are automatically promoted to the Azadegan League. The bottom two teams in both groups are automatically relegated to the 3rd division. If teams in the promotion or relegation spots are tied in terms of points, a home and away series will be played. The team with the best aggregate score will either avoid relegation or win promotion. 2011–12 Azadegan League
The 2011–12 Azadegan League was the 21st season of the Azadegan League and 11th as the second highest division since its establishment in 1991. The season featured 21 teams from the 2010–11 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2010–11 Persian Gulf Cup: PAS Hamedan, Paykan and Steel Azin and three new teams promoted from the 2010–11 2nd Division: Saipa Shomal as champions, Niroye Zamini and Parseh Tehran. Esteghlal Khuzestan replaced Esteghlal Jonoub Tehran. Damash Lorestan changed their name into Gahar Zagros while Hamyari Arak changed their name into Shahrdari Arak. The season featured 19 teams from the 2009–10 Azadegan League, three new teams relegated from the 2009–10 Persian Gulf Cup: Moghavemat Shiraz, Aboumoslem and Esteghlal Ahvaz and four new teams promoted from the 2009–10 2nd Division: Sepidrood as champions, Naft Masjed Soleyman, Shahrdari Yasouj and Foolad Yazd.
