Ali Fathollahzadeh
Ali Fathollahzadeh Khoei ( fa, علی فتحاللهزاده خویی, born 9 January 1959 in Khoy, West Azerbaijan Province) is an Iranian businessman and football administrator, who is currently the chairman of the Esteghlal F.C. He is also the formerly managing-director of '' Esteghlal Javan Newspaper''. Esteghlal F.C. He was elected as chairman of the Esteghlal on 10 May 1996 and was in office until his term ended on 10 May 2003. On 1 May 2007, he was reelected; but resigned on 15 September 2008 due to poor results in the Iran Pro League. He came back to the club after reelection on 1 June 2010 as chairman. During his term as president of the club, he bought big stars like Farhad Majidi from Bahman, Arash Borhani from Pas Tehran, Rasoul Khatibi from Hamburg SV, Milad Meydavoudi from Esteghlal Ahvaz, Karrar Jassim and Andranik Teymourian from Tractor Sazi, Mehdi Rahmati and Khosro Heydari from Sepahan and also Javad Nekounam from Osasuna. Khoy
Khoy (Persian and az, خوی; ; ; also Romanized as Khoi), is a city and capital of Khoy County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2012 census, its population was 200,985. Khoy is located north of the province's capital and largest city Urmia, and 807 km north-west to Tehran. The region's economy is based on agriculture, particularly the production of fruit, grain, and timber. Khoy is nicknamed as the Sunflower city of Iran. At the 2006 census, the city had a population of 178,708, with an estimated 2012 population of 200,985. Khoy is populated by both Azerbaijanis and Kurds. Mehdi Rahmati
Seyed Mehdi Rahmati Oskuei ( fa, سید مهدی رحمتی اسکویی; born February 3, 1983) is an Iranian football coach and former player who currently manages Aluminium Arak in the Persian Gulf Pro League. He played for the Iran national team between 2004 and 2013. Club career Early career Rahmati started his professional career with Fajr Sepasi in 2000, he stayed for four years at the club and made 40 appearances before transferring to Sepahan. After only one season with Sepahan, Rahmati again transferred, this time to Esteghlal. Although he had good performance in the Esteghlal squad, Vahid Talebloo had better performances and he proved himself as the number one keeper for Esteghlal Rahmati again left this time to Mes Kerman where he played very well. 2007–08 Hazfi Cup
The Hazfi Cup 2007-08 is the 21st staging of Iran's football knockout competition. A record 103 clubs' entries were accepted for the competition. The tournament began on October 15, 2007. The cup winner were guaranteed a place in the 2009 AFC Champions League. Hazfi Cup
Hazfi Cup (Jām-e Hazfi; ) is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation. The Iranian football league was not held during the 1980s, hence the winner of Hazfi Cup represented Iran in the Asian Club Championship. After the revive of the league system, the champion of Iranian league qualified for Asian Club Championship and the winner of Hazfi Cup ran for Asian Cup Winners' Cup. However, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup merged with the Asian Champions Cup in 2002–03 to form the AFC Champions League and Iran had been initially given two (and later four) slots in this competitions. The IRIFF decided to award one of Iran's AFC Champions League spots to the winner of the Hazfi Cup, and since then, the winners of Hazfi Cup have always been allocated a spot in the AFC Champions League. Iranian Football League
The Iranian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Iran. Structure The current structure has been in place since 2001. The Persian Gulf Pro League (PGL) is the highest level of club football in Iran. It is also called the Pro League. Below it is the Azadegan League, also known as the 1st division and called the League 1, which consists of one twenty-team group. One level further down from that is the 2nd division, also known as a League 2 which is made up of 40 teams evenly distributed into four groups. Osasuna
Club Atlético Osasuna (, ''Osasuna Athletic Club''), or simply Osasuna, is a Spanish professional football club in Pamplona, Navarre.
