The 2000 Danish speedway season was the 2000 season of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Individual Individual Championship The 2000 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 2000 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was at Outrup on 26 May. The title was won by Brian Karger for the third time. The Championship formed part of the 2001 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification with 5 riders qualifying for the Scandinavian Final. Final Key - Each heat has four riders, 3 points for a heat win, 2 for 2nd, 1 for third and 0 for last Junior Championship Kenneth Bjerre won the Junior Championship. Gert Handberg
Gert Handberg (born 30 May 1969 in Brædstrup, Denmark) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider form Denmark. Career Gert joined Cradley Heathens in 1988 on a recommendation, after winning the Danish Junior Championship during the 1986 Danish speedway season. He rode for the club for six consecutive seasons. In 1992, he became the champion of Denmark. He was a member of the Denmark speedway team when they won the 1991 World Team Cup. He also won the World Under-21 Championship in 1989 and finished 3rd in the 1992 senior world final. Holsted Speedway Klub or Holsted Tigers is a speedway club from Holsted in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. History The club was founded on 5 November 1974 by Kurt Bøgh. Fjelsted Speedway Klub or Team Fjelsted is a speedway club from the village of Fjelsted near Harndrup in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. Munkebo Speedway Center
Munkebo Speedway Center is a motorcycle speedway facility in Munkebo, Denmark. The facility is located on the western outskirts of the town, on the Garbækstoften road, just off Garbæksvej. The center hosts the speedway team Munkebo Speedway Club, who race in the Danish Speedway League system. In addition to a standard 500cc oval track, there is a smaller 80cc track (measuring 196 metres) adjacent to the main one. History Munkebo Motor Sport was founded on 1 December 1975 and a few months later they opened a 196-metre mini 50cc speedway track, near the Lindøj Shipyard. The first meeting held there was the 50cc Danish Moped Speedway Championship on 14 August 1976. Brovst Speedway Club
Brovst Speedway Club also known as Nordjysk Elite Speedway is a motorcycle speedway club from Brovst in Denmark, who competed in the Danish Speedway League until 2010, and then again in 2021. They are three times champions of Denmark, having won the title in 1990, 1998 and 2000. The Danish Speedway League ( da, Dansk Speedway Liga) or Danish Super League or Metal League as it is called today is the top division of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship
The Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship is a competition for riders who are under the age of 21, holding a Danish passport and a valid DMU licence. The competition was first staged in 1960 and was won by Jorgen Hoffman. Although there was no competition in 1961, the event returned in 1962 and has been staged every year since.
