Kenneth Bjerre
Kenneth Bjerre Jensen (born 24 May 1984 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is a Denmark speedway team, Danish international motorcycle speedway rider who races using the name Kenneth Bjerre. He rode in the United Kingdom, UK for Peterborough Panthers and King's Lynn Stars in the Elite League (speedway), Elite League. His brother, Lasse Bjerre, is also a speedway rider. Peterborough Panthers Riders
Peterborough () is a City status in the United Kingdom, cathedral city in Cambridgeshire, east of England. It is the largest part of the City of Peterborough unitary authority district (which covers a larger area than Peterborough itself). It was part of Northamptonshire until 1974, when county boundary change meant the city became part of Cambridgeshire instead. Denmark is one of the major teams in international speedway. They are managed by Denmark's most successful speedway rider, four time Individual World Champion Hans Nielsen and the current captain is Niels-Kristian Iversen. They have won the Speedway World Cup / Speedway World Team Cup a record 15 occasions with team manager Nielsen being a rider on 11 of those teams. Speedway World Cup The Denmark national speedway were a major force throughout the 1980s, winning a record 6 world titles in a row, between 1983 and 1988. 2006 Speedway Grand Prix
The 2006 Speedway Grand Prix was the 61st edition of the official World Championship and the 12th season in the Speedway Grand Prix era used to determine the Speedway World Champion. Event format The format remained the same as 2005 with 16 riders taking part in each Grand Prix and over the course of 20 heats each rider will race against every other rider once. The top 8 scorers advance to a semi-final and from each semi-final the 1st and 2nd placed riders will advance to the GP final. All riders apart from the qualifiers for the final carry forward the points earned in the first 20 heats over the course of the season. The 2005 Speedway Grand Prix was the 60th edition of the official World Championship and the 11th season in the Speedway Grand Prix era used to determine the Speedway World Champion. Event format The format was changed for GP 2005 with 16 riders (instead of 24) taking part in each Grand Prix event, and over the course of 20 heats each rider started in 5 heats and raced against every other rider once (which is the classical round-robin formula of the individual tournament).
