19th World Scout Jamboree
The 19th World Jamboree (Spanish: ''19º Jamboree Scout Mundial'') in Chile, the first ever in South America, took place at a site (Hacienda Picarquín) in the foothills of the Andes, some south of the capital city of Santiago. For 11 days, from 27 December 1998, to 6 January 1999, approximately 30,519 Scouts and leaders from nearly every Scout association in the world assembled for this 4-yearly event. The Jamboree started with a drought, prompting water to be diverted from the City of Rancagua, with sailing activities proving difficult owing to the lack of proper water bodies on Picarquín. 18th World Scout Jamboree
The 18th World Scout Jamboree (Dutch: ''18e Wereldjamboree'') was held August 1 to 11, 1995 and was hosted by the Netherlands on a polder near Biddinghuizen, Dronten community, Flevoland. 28,960 Scouts and staff members from 166 countries and territories participated in the event, the largest representation of countries to date, including 34 countries where Scouting was being born or reborn. Opening and royal attendees The event was officially opened by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and her husband Prince Claus. 20th World Scout Jamboree
The 20th World Scout Jamboree took place in the naval base in Sattahip, Thailand between 28 December 2002 and 8 January 2003 - the 62nd anniversary of the death of Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement. It was the second World Jamboree to be held in Southeast Asia after the Philippines hosted the event in 1959. The Jamboree provided an opportunity for 30,000 Scouts from all over the world to spend 12 days camping together and attend activities designed for them in self-development and social responsibility, within the framework of the educational Scout method. The Jamboree fostered the progress and unity of World Scout Movement and strongly linked it to Asian culture, both in terms of activities, mainly Thai dancing, and method . Santiago

Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle
Eduardo Alfredo Juan Bernardo Frei Ruiz–Tagle (; born 24 June 1942) is a Chilean politician and civil engineer who served as president of Chile from 1994 to 2000. He was also a Senator, fulfilling the role of President of the Senate from 2006 to 2008. He attempted a comeback as the candidate of the ruling Concertación coalition for the 2009 presidential election, but was narrowly defeated. His father was Eduardo Frei Montalva, president of Chile from 1964 to 1970. Early life Frei was born in Santiago to Eduardo Frei Montalva and María Ruiz-Tagle Jiménez. World Scout Jamborees
The World Scout Jamboree is a Scouting jamboree of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, typically attended by several tens of thousands of Scouts from around the world, aged 14 to 17. The first World Scout Jamboree was organized by The Boy Scout Association in London. With exceptions for the World War years and the Iranian Revolution, it has been organized approximately every four years, and in the more recent years has been organised by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), in different locations over the world.
