Nepal (; ne, नेपाल ), formerly the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal ( ne, सङ्घीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र नेपाल ), is a landlocked country in South Asia. Arun Thapa
Arun Thapa Magar (born January 1952– 22 July 1999) was a Nepali singer and songwriter. In 2003, according to an international poll conducted by BBC, more than half-a million people from 165 countries voted his composition ''Reetu haruma timi hariyali basant (You are the spring amongst the seasons)'', his most famous romantic song, as the seventh in the world's top 10 most popular songs of all time. Personal life Arun Thapa was born in Calcutta, India on 6 January 1952. His father was Ganju Prasad Thapa. His parents moved back to Nepal when Arun was 3 months old. Mahendra Narayan Nidhi
Mahendra Narayan Nidhi (24 February 1922 – 4 May 1999) was a Nepali politician, democracy fighter, and Gandhian leader. He was the Minister of water resources and local development in the Interim government led by Krishna Prasad Bhattarai after the success of 1990 Nepalese revolution. He was one of the most influential leaders and General Secretary of Nepali Congress. He started his active political journey from Dhanusha in 1946. Nidhi was elected twice to the parliament, in 1959 and 1991. He was the first deputy speaker of Pratinidhi Sabha of Nepal. Man Mohan Adhikari (Magi) ( ne, मन मोहन अधिकारी 9 June 1920 – 26 April 1999) was the 31st Prime Minister of Nepal from 1994 to 1995, representing the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). He is the first communist Prime Minister in Nepal and one of the first communist politician in the world to be democratically elected as a head of government. Nepalese Canadians or Nepali Canadians are Canadians with roots in Nepal. Migration history Nepalese are recent immigrants in Canada and their numbers are relatively small. Abhinav Bastakoti (born December 20, 1999), known by his stage name Curtis Waters, is a Canadian-American musician and songwriter. He is known for his self-produced 2020 debut single " Stunnin'". He is the first Nepal-born musician to attain international success. Early life Waters was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. Pratima Sherpa ( ne, प्रतिमा शेर्पा; born 27 November 1999) is the first ranked amateur female golfer from Nepal. She was born and raised in a maintenance shed behind the third hole of the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Kathmandu. Her parents still live on the grounds of the golf course, where her father Pasang Sherpa works as a security guard and mother Kalpana Sherpa works as a maintenance worker.
