Danish Cup
The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The latest edition, 2017-18 Danish Cup, was won by Superliga-side Brøndby, beating Superliga-side Silkeborg 3–1 on 10 May 2018 at Parken Stadium, thereby winning their first domestic trophy since 2008. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' ( The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (or AB) is a Danish professional football club from Gladsaxe north of Copenhagen, currently playing at the 3rd highest level of Danish domestic football in the Danish 2nd Division group 1. The club was established on February 26, 1889, through a merger of Fredericia Studenternes Kricketklub and Polyteknisk Boldklub. AB is nine time Danish Champions, eight time Copenhagen Champions, one time Danish Cup Champions and six times Copenhagen Cup Champions, and the club is thus one of the most successful in Danish football. The Danish Football Union ( da, Dansk Boldspil-Union; DBU) is the governing body of football in Denmark. It is the organization of the Danish football clubs and runs the professional Danish football leagues and the men's and women's national teams. It is based in the city of Brøndby and is a founding member of both FIFA and UEFA. The DBU has also been the governing body of futsal in Denmark since 2008. Christian Lønstrup
Christian Lønstrup (born 4 April 1971) is a Danish former football player, and current manager. Playing career Lønstrup most prominently played 253 games as a midfielder for Danish club F.C. Copenhagen, with whom he won four Danish Superliga championships. He played three games and scored one goal for the Denmark U21 national team in 1991. He had a very public trial versus his former club F.C. Copenhagen, having allegedly received misleading guidance concerning the taxation of his salary upon returning to Denmark in 1998. The case was settled out of court for a fee believed to be around DKK 700,000. Coaching career Lønstrup was loaned out to AB in the summer 2004. Iørn Peter Uldbjerg (born February 1, 1968) is a retired Danish football (soccer) player, who most prominently won the 1993 Danish football championship with FC København. He began his senior career at Tårnby Boldklub and played six games for the Denmark national under-21 football team in 1988, before signing a professional contract with B 1903. He started playing for FC København when the club was founded in 1992, and after leaving the club in 1998, he ended his career at Herfølge BK and Farum BK. Michael Johansen
Michael Bro Johansen (born July 22, 1972) is a Danish former professional football player who played as a midfielder in the Danish Superliga for FC Copenhagen and for English club Bolton Wanderers. He played two games for the Danish national team in 2000 and 2002, and was an unused substitute at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He is the older twin brother of former footballer Martin Johansen, and played alongside him in several clubs.
