Christian Lønstrup
Christian Lønstrup (born 4 April 1971) is a Danish former football player, and current manager. Playing career Lønstrup most prominently played 253 games as a midfielder for Danish club F.C. Copenhagen, with whom he won four Danish Superliga championships. He played three games and scored one goal for the Denmark U21 national team in 1991. He had a very public trial versus his former club F.C. Copenhagen, having allegedly received misleading guidance concerning the taxation of his salary upon returning to Denmark in 1998. The case was settled out of court for a fee believed to be around DKK 700,000. Coaching career Lønstrup was loaned out to AB in the summer 2004. In January 2005, it was announced that he would be the assistant manager under manager Henrik Jensen for the rest of the season. Boldklubben 1903 or B 1903 is a football club founded on 2 June 1903, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Seven times winner of the Danish championship (introduced 1913) in 1920, 1924, 1926, 1938, 1969, 1970 and 1976 and twice winner of the Danish Cup (introduced 1955) in 1979 and 1986. Best international result: Quarter final in the 1991–92 UEFA Cup after eliminating Aberdeen F.C., Bayern Munich (6–2 and 0–1) and Trabzonspor. In 1992 the club was merged with Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (KB) to form the current club F.C. Copenhagen to which Boldklubben 1903 transferred its license to play in the Danish league. As a note, F.C. The 1st Division (''1. Division'') is the second-highest football league in Denmark, also known as NordicBet Liga for sponsorship reasons. From 1945 to 1991 the 1. Division was the name of the highest level of football in Denmark. With the formation of the Danish Superliga, the 1st Division became the second tier of Danish football. While all the teams in the Superliga are full-time professional the 1. Division has a mixture of full-time professional and semi-professional teams. The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The latest edition, 2017-18 Danish Cup, was won by Superliga-side Brøndby, beating Superliga-side Silkeborg 3–1 on 10 May 2018 at Parken Stadium, thereby winning their first domestic trophy since 2008.
