The 1994 Qatar Open, known as the 1994 Qatar Mobil Open for sponsorship reasons, was an ATP men's tennis tournament held in Doha, Qatar. It was the second edition of the tournament and was held from 3 January until 10 January 1994. Third-seeded Stefan Edberg won his first title of the year and the 39th of his career. ATP World Series
The ATP International Series (known from 1990 to 1997 as the ATP World Series) was a series of professional tennis tournaments held internationally as part of the ATP Tour from 2000 to 2008. The series was renamed ATP Tour 250 in 2009. International Series offered players cash prizes (tournaments have purses from $416,000 to $1,000,000) and the ability to earn ATP ranking points. Qatar

Stefan Edberg
Stefan Bengt Edberg (; born 19 January 1966) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. A major proponent of the serve-and-volley style of tennis, he won six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam men's doubles titles between 1985 and 1996. He is one of only two men in the Open Era to have been ranked world No. 1 in both singles and doubles (the other being John McEnroe). He also won the Masters Grand Prix and was a part of the Swedish Davis Cup-winning team four times. Olivier Delaître (born 1 June 1967) is a former professional tennis player from France. He was semifinalist at the Wimbledon Championships in 1999 in doubles (partnering Fabrice Santoro), and reached the fourth round of the 1994 French Open and 1995 Australian Open in singles. Career Delaitre turned professional in 1986. In singles, he reached four ATP-tour finals, and achieved a career-high ranking of 33 in February 1995. In doubles, he won 15 titles during his career and reached a career-high ranking of 3 in July 1999.
