1983–84 Cupa României
The 1983–84 Cupa României was the 46th edition of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football Single-elimination tournament, cup competition. The title was won by FC Dinamo București, Dinamo București against FC Steaua București, Steaua București. Format The competition is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in Overtime (sports), extra time, if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, then the winner will be established at Penalty shoot-out (association football), penalty kicks. Victoria București was a Romanian football club, dissolved right after the Romanian Revolution of 1989. History The club was sponsored by the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs (the "Miliția", Police). In 1985 Victoria played for the first time in the Romanian top division, becoming very fast one of the most important teams, behind Steaua and Dinamo București. Between 1986 and 1989 they finished every year in 3rd place. However, it was a well-known fact during that time that many victories were due to unfair influences over the referees, other teams' players and even officials. This is why in 1990, right after the Revolution, the team was dissolved by the Romanian Football Federation and the club literally disappeared. Asociația Clubul Sportiv Campionii Fotbal Club Argeș, commonly known as FC Argeș or Argeș Pitești (), is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Pitești, Argeș County, which competes in the Liga I. FC Sportul Studențesc, commonly referred to as Sportul is a Romanian professional association football, football club based in Bucharest, that last played at senior level in the Liga IV. Founded in 1916, Sportul Studențesc was one of the oldest Romanian clubs still active. The club's best European performance came in the 1979–80 Balkans Cup, when it won the trophy, defeating Yugoslavian side NK Rijeka in the final. CS Minaur Baia Mare, commonly known as Minaur Baia Mare, simply as Baia Mare or unofficially as ''Minerul Baia Mare'', is a Romanian football club, based in Baia Mare, Maramureș County, northern Romania, founded in 1948. Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea
Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea was a football club based in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Vâlcea County, Romania. It was founded in 1946 and dissolved in 2004. It won one Romanian Cup, in 1973. History In 1946 ''Vâlceana'' appeared in the Third Division. In 1947 it changed its name to ''CSM Vâlcea''. The club is relegated and only in 1956 succeeds to return again under the name of ''Flamura Roşie'', the name being changed the next year to ''Unirea'' and in 1958 to ''Şantierul Govora''. It is relegated again, but after one year, the team jumped directly to the Second Division under the name of ''Chimia Govora''. FCM Câmpina was a Romanian football team from Poiana Câmpina, Prahova County founded in 1936 and dissolved in 2008. History The team was founded under the name ''Astra Câmpina'', which was a local factory that was sponsoring the team. Later the team changed its name to ''Poiana Câmpina''. Even though the team is now called FCM Câmpina (Municipal Football Club Câmpina), most of its fans still call the team "Poiana" or "Poieniţa", a diminutive. Furthermore, FCM Câmpina used to be, for a couple of years, Dinamo Bucharest's second team, and was back then called Dinamo Poiana Câmpina.
