The 1968 Cupa României Final was the 30th final of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football cup competition. It was disputed between FC Dinamo București, Dinamo București and FC Rapid București, Rapid București, and was won by FC Dinamo București, Dinamo București after a game with 4 goals Overtime (sports), after extra time. 1967–68 Cupa României
The 1967–68 Cupa României was the 30th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Rapid București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. Each tie is played as a single leg. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. In the first round proper, if a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, the team who played away will qualify. Ion Nunweiller
Ion Nunweiller (9 January 1936 – 3 February 2015) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Club career Ion Nunweiller was born in Piatra Neamț on 9 January 1936. He had an Austrian father named Johann Nunweiller, who settled in Piatra Neamț after World War II where he met his wife, Rozina, later they moved from Piatra Neamț to Bucharest. He had six brothers, the oldest one of them, Constantin was a water polo player and the other five: Dumitru, Lică, Victor, Radu and Eduard were footballers, each of them having at least one spell at Dinamo București, they are the reason why the club's nickname is "The Red Dogs". Ilie Greavu
Ilie Greavu (19 July 1937 – 1 April 2007) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Club career Ilie Greavu, nicknamed ''Cauciuc'' (Rubber) because he could jump one meter and 20 centimeters high, was born on 19 July 1937 in Sibiu, Romania and started to play football in 1952 at local club Progresul Sibiu, afterwards in 1955 moving at Progresul CPCS București in Divizia B. He was transferred at Rapid București where on 28 August 1957 he made his Divizia A debut in a 1–0 away loss against Energia Petroșani. Dan Coe
Daniel Coe (8 September 1941 – 19 October 1981) was a Romanian football defender. He was part of the Romanian team that reached quarterfinals at the 1964 Summer Olympics, and later participated at the 1970 World Cup. Club career Originating from an ethnic Aromanian family, Dan Coe, nicknamed ''Ministrul Apărării'' ("The Minister of Defence"), was born on 8 September 1941 in Bucharest and started playing football in 1956 at the junior squads of Rapid București, making his Divizia A debut on 18 March 1962 in a 1–1 against Minerul Lupeni. He remained with Rapid for ten seasons, being for a while the team's captain, winning the league title in the 1966–67 season when coach Valentin Stănescu used him in 26 matches. Ion Motroc
Ion Motroc (born 14 February 1937) is a former Romanian football defender who played for clubs in Romania and Turkey. Club career Ion Motroc was born on 14 February 1937 in Bucharest, growing up in the Giulești neighborhood, starting to play junior level football in 1950 at local club Locomotiva București, making his Divizia A debut for the senior squad under coach Iosif Lengheriu on 17 May 1953 at age 16 in a 0–0 against Știința Cluj. Nicolae Lupescu
Nicolae Lupescu (17 December 1940 – 6 September 2017) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Club career Nicolae Lupescu was born on 17 December 1940 in Bucharest, Romania. He started to play football at junior level in 1954 at ICAR București, afterwards playing for Flacăra Roșie București, starting his senior career by playing two seasons in Divizia B, the first one at Academia Militară București and the second at Olimpia București. Răducanu Necula (born 10 May 1946), widely known as Rică Răducanu, is a retired Romanian football goalkeeper. Bazil Marian
Bazil Marian (7 November 1922 – 19 January 2008) was a Romanian professional footballer and coach. Club career Bazil Marian nicknamed "Bombardierul" (The Bomber) because of his powerful shots was born on 7 November 1922 in Uioara de Sus, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 at local club Solvay. Ion Iuliu Haidu (known as János Hajdu) (born 1 January 1942) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a forward. Ion Pârcălab (born 5 November 1941) is a Romanian former football player and manager. Club career Ion Pârcălab, nicknamed "The Carpathian Arrow" by foreign experts, started his senior career at UTA Arad, making his Divizia A debut on 24 May 1959 in a 2–1 loss against Jiul Petroșani. Mircea Stoenescu
Mircea Stoenescu (11 October 1943 – 5 January 2022) was a Romanian football centre-back, manager and referee. Career Mircea Stoenescu was born on 11 October 1943 in Bucharest, Romania. He started his career playing at the junior squads of Dinamo București, winning a national title at children level in 1959 and one in junior level in 1961. He made his Divizia A debut on 9 July 1961, playing for Dinamo in a 2–0 home victory against Steagul Roșu Brașov.
