Bazil Marian
Bazil Marian (7 November 1922 – 19 January 2008) was a Romanian professional footballer and coach. Club career Bazil Marian nicknamed "Bombardierul" (The Bomber) because of his powerful shots was born on 7 November 1922 in Uioara de Sus, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 at local club Solvay. He made his Divizia A debut playing for Victoria Cluj on 24 September 1947 in a 2–1 home victory against Venus București. Victoria relegated by the end of the season, but he stayed in Divizia A, playing one season for Mica Brad before moving at Carmen București. At Carmen in December 1946 in a game against Ciocanul București at the score of 4–0 he ran alone towards the opposite goal, dribbled the goalkeeper, after which he sat down with his bottom on the ball and his hand over his eyes, as if looking for his opponents, before pushing the ball into the net. Ocna Mureș
Ocna Mureș (; la, Salinae, hu, Marosújvár, german: Miereschhall) is a town in Alba County, Romania, located in the north-eastern corner of the county, near the Mureș River. The town is situated next to a large deposit of salt, mined in the past until the ceiling of the mines collapsed from water infiltration in 1978. Ocna Mureș has a chlorosodic products plant, a salt extraction plant and a spa which uses the salty water from the former mines. The town administers five villages: Cisteiu de Mureș (''Magyarcsesztve''), Micoșlaca (''Miklóslaka''), Războieni-Cetate (''Székelyföldvár''), Uioara de Jos (until 1960 ''Ciunga''; ''Csongva'') and Uioara de Sus (''Felsőmarosújvár''). Asociația Fotbal Club UTA Arad (), commonly known as UTA Arad or simply UTA, is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Arad, Arad County, which competes in the Liga I. Valentin Stănescu (20 November 1922 – 4 April 1994) was a Romanian football goalkeeper and manager. Club career Valentin Stănescu also known as "Tinel" or "Zimbrul" ( The bison) was born on 20 November 1922 in București, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 in 1933 at local club Olimpia. In 1942 he went to play for Malaxa Tohan for a short while, afterwards moving at Sportul Studențesc București for three years. He made his Divizia A debut playing for Carmen București under coach Petre Steinbach on 16 March 1947 in a 3–2 away victory against Dermagarand Târgu Mureș. Maccabi or Macabi București, later known as Ciocanul, was a Romanian sport club, representing the Jewish community, akin to the famous Hakoah Vienna. Asociația Fotbal Club Venus 1914 București, commonly known as Venus București, or simply as Venus, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Bucharest, founded in 1914 and re-founded in 2014.
