1922 Polish Football Championship
1922 Polish Football Championship was the 3rd edition of the Polish Football Championship (Non-League) and 2nd completed season ended with the selection of a winner. The championship was decided in final tournament played among eight teams ( winners of the regional A-Class championship) participated in the league which was divided into 2 groups: a Northern and a Southern one. The winners of both groups, Warta Poznań and Pogoń Lwów, played a 2 leg final match for the title. The champions were Pogoń Lwów, who won their 1st Polish title. Competition modus The final tournaments started on 29 July 1922 and concluded on 22 October 1922 (spring-autumn system). In each of groups the season was played as a round-robin tournament. A total of 8 teams participated. Each team played a total of 6 matches, half at home and half away, two games against each other team. Teams received two points for a win and one point for a draw. The Polish Riflemen's Association known as ''Związek Strzelecki'' (or more commonly, in the plural form as ''Związki Strzeleckie'') formed in great numbers prior to World War I. One of the better known associations called "Strzelec" (Riflemen's Association "Rifleman") was a Polish paramilitary cultural and educational organization created in 1910 in Lwów as a legal front of Związek Walki Czynnej, and somewhat reinstated in present-day Poland in 1991, after the fall of communism. An important part of the Association's mission was training young Poles in military skills. Mieczysław Batsch
Mieczysław Józef Batsch a.k.a. Bacz (1 January 1900 in Lemberg – 9 September 1977 in Przemyśl) was a Polish soccer forward. He represented both Pogoń Lwów and the Polish National Team. Batsch was a graduate of the mechanical engineering program of Lwów's Technical University (Politechnika Lwowska). In the 1920s, while he was on the team, Pogoń won multiple national champions (1922, 1923, 1925, 1926). Together with Wacław Kuchar and Józef Garbień, he scored several goals. His career lasted from 1916 to 1929, after which he occasionally played on the team Oldboye Lwów, which consisted of soccer veterans from Lwów. On the national team he played in 11 games, scoring 1 goal. KS Lublinianka
KS Lublinianka is a Polish professional football club based in Lublin. It was founded in 1921 as WKS Lublin (Wojskowy Klub Sportowy Lublin, English: Military Sports Club) and was supported by the Lublin garrison of the Polish Army. In 1923 WKS Lublin was renamed to Klub Sportowy Lublinianka. In 1938 the club won the Football Junior Championships of Poland.
