Oluf Lundt Bang (lawyer)
OlOluf Lundt Bang (11 September 1731 - 27 September 1789), also known as Ole Bang, was a Danish lawyer who ended his career as president of Hof- og Stadsretten. During the Struense affair, he served both as prosecutor in the trial against queen Caroline Matilda and as defence attorney in the trial against Enevold Brandt. In 1777, he was ennobled under the name de Bang. He was the father of playwright Baltsasar Bang and landowner Niels Bang. Early life and education Bang was born at Egebjerggaard at Nykøbing Sjælland, Holbæk County, the son of Niels Christian Bang (1697–1760) and Cathrine Marie Kjær (ca. 1704–43). His father managed the royal estates in Odsherred. He was after his first wife's death married at Annebjerggaard to Ulrikke Eleonore Schwane (1726–92). Princess Louise Charlotte of Denmark ( da, Charlotte af Danmark; 30 October 1789 – 28 March 1864) was a Danish princess, and a princess of Hesse-Kassel by marriage to Prince William of Hesse-Kassel. Princess Charlotte was a significant figure in her time. She was one of the leading ladies in the country, and when her brother Christian VIII became king in 1839, she was close to the throne. William Christopher Zeise
William Christopher Zeise (15 October 1789 – 12 November 1847) was a Danish organic chemist. He is best known for synthesising one of the first organometallic compounds, named Zeise's salt in his honour. He also performed pioneering studies in organosulfur chemistry, discovering the xanthates in 1823. Early life William Christopher Zeise was born 15 October 1789 in Slagelse, the son of an apothecary, Frederick Zeise (1754–1836), who was an old friend of physicist Hans Christian Ørsted's father. Zeise attended Slagelse Latin school until he went to Copenhagen in 1805 to take up an apprenticeship under Gottfried Becker as a pharmacy assistant (''Apoteksmedhjælper'') at the Royal Court Pharmacy. Christian VII Of Denmark
Christian VII (29 January 1749 – 13 March 1808) was a monarch of the House of Oldenburg who was King of Denmark–Norway and Duke of Schleswig and Holstein from 1766 until his death in 1808. For his motto he chose: "''Gloria ex amore patriae''" ("Glory through love of the fatherland"). Christian VII's reign was marked by mental illness and for most of his reign, Christian was only nominally king. His royal advisers changed depending on who won power struggles around the throne. From 1770 to 1772, his court physician Johann Friedrich Struensee was the ''de facto'' ruler of the country and introduced progressive reforms signed into law by Christian VII. Struensee was deposed by a coup in 1772, after which the country was ruled by Christian's stepmother, Juliane Marie of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, his half-brother Frederick, and the Danish politician Ove Høegh-Guldberg.
