Edvard Brandes
Carl Edvard Cohen Brandes (21 October 1847, in Copenhagen – 20 December 1931, in Copenhagen) was a Danish politician, critic and author, and the younger brother of Georg Brandes and Ernst Brandes. Conrad Christian Bøhndel
Conrad Christian August Bøhndel (7 March 1779 – 18 December 1847) was a Danish painter and lithographer. He lithographed the Hans Brüggemann's altarpiece between 1824 and 1832. Biography Conrad Christian Bøhndel was born in the parish of Hostrup in Tønder, Denmark. He was the son of Christian August Bøhndel and Frederikke Louise, née Staack. He went to Copenhagen as a young man to be trained as an artist at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He belonged to the circle of friends of Caspar David Friedrich when he first arrived in Copenhagen in 1799. After his studies at the Art Academy he visited the German painter Philipp Otto Runge in Dresden in 1802. In 1799 he won the Great Silver Medal and undertook an overseas trip with royal support, joining the Danish-German colony in Rome where he stayed from 1802 to 1810. Henriette Jørgensen
Henriette Jørgensen (1791–1847) was a Danish stage actress and translator. Daughter of the book-keeper Gert Diderich J. and Henriette Rose. She was active as an amateur actress in ''Borups Selskab'' before she debuted at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1816. She was regarded as much talented but not beautiful, and she played the part of mother in tragedies, comedies, vaudeville and in realistic drama. She retired in 1845. William Christopher Zeise
William Christopher Zeise (15 October 1789 – 12 November 1847) was a Danish organic chemist. He is best known for synthesising one of the first organometallic compounds, named Zeise's salt in his honour. He also performed pioneering studies in organosulfur chemistry, discovering the xanthates in 1823. Early life William Christopher Zeise was born 15 October 1789 in Slagelse, the son of an apothecary, Frederick Zeise (1754–1836), who was an old friend of physicist Hans Christian Ørsted's father. Zeise attended Slagelse Latin school until he went to Copenhagen in 1805 to take up an apprenticeship under Gottfried Becker as a pharmacy assistant (''Apoteksmedhjælper'') at the Royal Court Pharmacy. Gottfried Becker, was an accomplished chemist who was employed as extraordinary Professor of Chemistry at the University. Arthur Ivan Allin (3 December 1847 – 31 January 1926) was a Danish violinist, organist, conductor and composer. Arthur Allin has never specialized himself as a musician. As his interests have been many-sided, his field of work has been extensive, more so presumably than he dreamed when he, as a 12-year-old boy, stepped into Tivoli Gardens and beat the little drum in "Old Lumbye's" orchestra. Arthur Ivan Allin was born in Copenhagen, Denmark 3 December 1847.
