Radio broadcasting is transmission of audio (sound), sometimes with related metadata, by radio waves to radio receivers belonging to a public audience. CJWT-FM is a First Nations in Canada, First Nations community radio radio station, station that operates at 106.7 FM radio, FM in Timmins, Ontario. Owned by the Wawatay Native Communications Society, the station was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission in 2006. On March 4, 2016, the CRTC approved Wawatay's application for a broadcasting licence to operate a low-power Type B Native FM radio station in Timmins, Ontario. Radio Centraal is a Belgian "underground" radio station in the old city center of Antwerp. It began broadcasting on 31 October 1980 as one of the first pirate radio stations which started around the country in protest against the broadcasting monopoly of the national state networks.
