1992 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 1992 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 24–27 September at Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was the 15th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 31 team entries, each with up to three players. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. The Spain team won the Trophy and their second title, beating the combined team of Great Britain & Ireland by one stroke. Great Britain & Ireland earned the silver medal while the New Zealand team took the bronze on third place another eight strokes back. The individual title went to Annika Sörenstam, Sweden, whose score of one under par, 287, was five strokes ahead of two players, who shared second place. Annika Sörenstam
Annika Charlotta Sörenstam (; born 9 October 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 24 other tournaments internationally. Linda Ericsson
Linda Ericsson (born 2 October 1973) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. She was runner-up at the 1993 European Ladies Amateur, and played on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Ericsson was selected for the National Team and finished 4th at the 1992 Espirito Santo Trophy in Vancouver, Canada together with Annika Sörenstam and Maria Hjorth. Mandy Adamson
Mandy Adamson (9 March 1972 – 26 July 2022) was a South African professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. She became the first to win the South African Women's Open three times. Career Adamson enjoyed a successful career as one of South Africa's leading female golfers. She won multiple titles as an amateur, including becoming South African Amateur champion three times. She was a semi-finalist at the British Ladies Amateur in 1994 and represented South Africa in the Espirito Santo Trophy twice. Lynnette Teresa Brooky (born 25 January 1968) is a New Zealand professional golfer. She turned professional in 1994 and has spent her career playing mainly on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
