Delphine Bourson
Delphine Bourson-Drossaert (born 26 April 1969) is a French golfer. She won the European Ladies Amateur in 1991. Amateur career Bourson won the 1990 Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship at El Bosque. At the European Ladies Amateur, Bourson lost a playoff to Florence Descampe of Belgium in 1988, and won the event in 1991, three strokes ahead of Mette Hageman of the Netherlands. Bourson was a member of the winning French team, with Cécilia Mourgue d'Algue, Caroline Bourtayre, Sophie Louapre, Sandrine Mendiburu and Valérie Pamard, at the 1989 European Ladies' Team Championship in Pals, Spain. Bourson represented France at the Espirito Santo Trophy with Kristel Mourgue d'Algue twice. In 1990 with Sandrine Mendiburu they finished 6th, and in 1992 with Patricia Meunier-Lebouc they finished 5th. The European Ladies Amateur Championship is an annual amateur golf tournament. It is organized by the European Golf Association and is one of the "elite" tournaments recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking The World Amateur Golf Ranking for men was introduced by The R&A, the governing body of the sport of golf outside the United States and Mexico, on 23 January 2007. 1992 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 1992 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 24–27 September at Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was the 15th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 31 team entries, each with up to three players. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. The Spain team won the Trophy and their second title, beating the combined team of Great Britain & Ireland by one stroke. Great Britain & Ireland earned the silver medal while the New Zealand team took the bronze on third place another eight strokes back. The individual title went to Annika Sörenstam, Sweden, whose score of one under par, 287, was five strokes ahead of two players, who shared second place. The European Golf Association (EGA) is a non-profit organisation based in Epalinges, Switzerland, which was founded in 1937 in Luxembourg. Vagliano Trophy
The Vagliano Trophy is a biennial women's amateur golf tournament. It is co-organised by The R&A and the European Golf Association and is contested by teams representing "Great Britain and Ireland" and the "Continent of Europe". It is played in odd-numbered years; the Curtis Cup being played in even-numbered years. The event started in 1931 as a match between Great Britain and France. It was played annually from 1931 to 1939 and from 1947 to 1949, before becoming a biennial event from 1949 to 1957. Britain won 15 of the 16 matches with the 1934 match being tied. From 1949 to 1957 Great Britain had also played a biennial match against Belgium. In 1959 the two matches were replaced by one with Britain playing a team representing the Continent of Europe, the Vagliano Trophy being used for the new event.
