Esiliiga
The Esiliiga is the second division in the Estonian football league system. The Esiliiga is ranked below the Meistriliiga and above the Esiliiga B. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts in March and ends in November. The league features several reserve teams of Meistriliiga clubs. According to the rules set by the Estonian Football Association, reserve teams are ineligible for promotion to the Meistriliiga, but can play in the Estonian Cup. Competition format During the season, the teams play each of the other four times, twice at home and twice away. This makes for a total of 36 games played each season. The teams gain three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a defeat. Promotion and relegation between divisions is a central feature of the league. At the end of the season, clubs at the top of their division win promotion to the next higher division, while those at the bottom will be relegated to the next lower one. At the end o ... Kreenholm Narva
Narva PSK ( et, Narva Paemurru Spordikool) is an ice hockey team located in Narva, Estonia, which plays in the Coolbet Hokiliiga, the top tier of ice hockey in Estonia. They play home games at the Narva Ice Hall. History Narva PSK were founded in 2003, following the dissolution of the previous Narva-based hockey team, Narva 2000 (formerly known as Narva Kreenholm). Since their inception, Narva PSK have been a member of the Meistriliiga, and won the league twice, in both 2016 and 2017. As a result of winning the league in 2017, Narva PSK took place in the 2017–18 IIHF Continental Cup, where they were in the same group as HC Donbass of Ukraine, Polish side GKS Tychy and Latvian outfit HK Kurbads. Narva would ultimately lose all of their games. Narva PSK were originally scheduled to be part of the inaugural Baltic Hockey League, however they were unable to participate as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequently HC Everest took their place. The 1992 Meistriliiga was the inaugural season of the Meistriliiga, the top division of the Estonian football. It was the first domestic competition since the Baltic nation had gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Fourteen teams competed in this edition, played in the spring to make the transition to autumn to spring season in the same year. Norma Tallinn won the title.
