Jia Zhijie
Jia Zhijie (; born 1935) is a retired politician of the People's Republic of China. He was born in Jilin Province. He graduated from the Moscow Petroleum Institute in 1960, the same year he joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He served as governor of Gansu (1986–1993) and Hubei. As governor of Gansu, he defended the state's first eugenics Eugenics ( ; ) is a fringe set of beliefs and practices that aim to improve the genetic quality of a human population. Li Changchun
Li Changchun (born February 1, 1944) is a retired Chinese politician and a former senior leader of the Chinese Communist Party. He served on the Politburo Standing Committee, the Communist Party's top leadership council, and as the top official in charge of propaganda, between 2002 and 2012. He also served as Chairman of the CCP Central Guidance Commission for Building Spiritual Civilization, ''de facto'' head of propaganda and media relations. Li had a widely varying political career spanning three provinces, first as Governor of Liaoning, then Party Secretary of Henan, and then Party Secretary of Guangdong, before being promoted to the national leadership in 2002. Shao Qihui
Shao Qihui (; born June 1934) is a Chinese engineer and politician who served as governor of Heilongjiang from 1989 to 1994. He was a representative of the 13th and 14th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a member of the 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a delegate to the 7th and 8th National People's Congress. He was a member of the 9th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Heilongjiang
Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). The province is bordered by Jilin to the south and Inner Mongolia to the west. Cheng Weigao
Cheng Weigao (; September 1933 – December 28, 2010) was a Chinese politician, best known for his term as the Communist Party Secretary of Hebei province between 1993 and 1998. In his late career, Cheng was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party in 2003 after a corruption investigation. He was demoted, but not charged. Cheng's son, Cheng Muyang (Michael Ching), lives in Vancouver, Canada as of 2015. Biography Cheng was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He followed his parents to neighboring Changzhou in his teenage years. He entered the Communist Youth League organization in Changzhou in 1949, and joined the Chinese Communist Party about a year later. Liu Jianfeng (; born June 1936) is a retired Chinese engineer and politician. From 1989 to 1993 he was Governor of Hainan Province, where he had a highly antagonistic relationship with the Party Chief Deng Hongxun. He also served as Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Electronics Industry. Early life and career Liu was born in June 1936 in Tianjin. In 1956, he joined the Communist Party of China. In 1961 he graduated from the radio engineering department of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute in Ukraine, USSR. Wang Zhaowen
Wang Chaowen (; born October 1930) is a Chinese politician of Miao ethnicity who served as governor of Guizhou from 1983 to 1993 and chairman of Guizhou Provincial People's Congress from 1994 to 1998. He was a member of the 12th, 13th and 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the 8th and 9th National People's Congress. Biography Wang was born in Huangping County, Guizhou, in October 1930. He entered the workforce in December 1949, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in July 1951. He was first party secretary of Shibing County in September 1956, and held that office until January 1960.
