Politics Of Guizhou
The politics of Guizhou Province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China. The Governor of Guizhou is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Guizhou. Guizhou
Guizhou (; formerly Kweichow) is a landlocked province in the southwest region of the People's Republic of China. Its capital and largest city is Guiyang, in the center of the province. Guizhou borders the autonomous region of Guangxi to the south, Yunnan to the west, Sichuan to the northwest, the municipality of Chongqing to the north, and Hunan to the east. The population of Guizhou stands at 38.5 million, ranking 18th among the provinces in China. The Dian Kingdom, which inhabited the present-day area of Guizhou, was annexed by the Han dynasty in 106 BC. Guizhou was formally made a province in 1413 during the Ming dynasty. After the overthrow of the Qing in 1911 and following the Chinese Civil War, the Chinese Communist Party took refuge in Guizhou during the Long March between 1934 and 1935. Liu Fangren (; born January 1936) was a Chinese politician. He was born in Wugong County, Shaanxi. He was Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary (1993–2001) and People's Congress Chairman (1998–2002) of Guizhou. He was CPPCC Committee Chairman of Jiangxi (1993–1994). Wang Chaowen
Wang Chaowen (; born October 1930) is a Chinese politician of Miao ethnicity who served as governor of Guizhou from 1983 to 1993 and chairman of Guizhou Provincial People's Congress from 1994 to 1998. He was a member of the 12th, 13th and 14th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the 8th and 9th National People's Congress. Liu Yulin is a Chinese film director, a graduate with the Master of Fine Arts degree from the Graduate Film program of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Zhang Yuhuan
Zhang Yuhuan (born 27 September 1926) is a Chinese architectural historian who is a researcher at the Institute for History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is internationally known for his studies on ancient Chinese architecture. Biography Zhang was born in Shulan County, Jilin, on 27 September 1926, during the Republic of China, while his ancestral home in Yuci District of Jinzhong, Shanxi. He secondary studied at the Fifth National High School of Jilin Province. In 1945, he enrolled at Northeastern University, where he majored in architecture. Xu Lin (born 1963)
Xu Lin (; born June 1963) is a Chinese politician, who is currently serving as the Communist Party secretary of Guizhou and the director of the National Radio and Television Administration. Previously he served as director of the State Council Information Office. He also served as the main official in charge of internet policy, the head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, from June 2016 to July 2018. Shen Yiqin
Shen Yiqin (; born 15 December 1959) is a Chinese politician of Bai ethnic heritage. She served as the Communist Party Secretary of Guizhou, a province in southwestern China, between November 2020 and December 2022. Shen is the third female provincial-level party chief since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 after Wan Shaofen and current Vice Premier Sun Chunlan. Chen Min'er (; born 29 September 1960) is a Chinese politician and a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party who is serving as the Communist Party Secretary of Tianjin. From 2017 to 2022, he served as the Communist Party Secretary of Chongqing and a member of the 19th Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party.
