The 1990 Danish speedway season was the 1990 season of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Individual Danish Final (world championship round) Six riders from the Danish final would progress to the Nordic Final as part of the 1990 Individual Speedway World Championship. The final was held on 20 May at Holsted and was won by Jan O. Pedersen. Final Individual Championship The 1990 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 1990 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was held at Outrup on 5 August. The title was won by Hans Nielsen for the fourth time. The Danish Speedway League ( da, Dansk Speedway Liga) or Danish Super League or Metal League as it is called today is the top division of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship
The Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship is a competition for riders who are under the age of 21, holding a Danish passport and a valid DMU licence. The competition was first staged in 1960 and was won by Jorgen Hoffman. Although there was no competition in 1961, the event returned in 1962 and has been staged every year since. Kenneth Bjerre holds the record for most titles with four. Jesper Olsen (speedway Rider)
Jesper Ege Olsen (born 10 February 1967) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Olsen started racing in the British leagues during the 1991 British League season, when riding for the Wimbledon Dons but following the Dons withdrawal from the league in June, he completed the season with Eastbourne Eagles. The following season in 1992, he signed for Glasgow Tigers and would spend four years with the Scottish club. He was part of the famous Glasgow league and cup double/double winning team during the 1993 British League Division Two season and 1994 British League Division Two season. He rode for Middlesbrough Bears in 1996 before joining Newcastle Diamonds in 1997. Brian Andersen (born 13 March 1971) is a Danish former international motorcycle speedway rider. Career Andersen reached the final of the Under-21 World Championship in 1990 and then won the event the following year to become the 1991 Junior World Champion The success brought him to the attention of British leagues and Coventry Bees signed him for the 1992 British League season. He drove up his average over the following seasons for Coventry and established himself as one of their leading riders. In 1995, he won the Individual Speedway Danish Championship. In 1996, he finished second in the 1996 Intercontinental Final, which qualified him for his first Speedway Grand Prix series. He rode in the Grand Prix between 1997 and 2001, and won two bronze medals in the Speedway World Team Cup.
