1988 European Figure Skating Championships
The 1988 European Figure Skating Championships was a senior-level international competition held in Prague, Czechoslovakia (present-day Czech Republic) on January 22–27, 1988. Elite skaters from European ISU member nations competed in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Prague

Vladimir Grigorievich Kotin (russian: Владимир Григорьевич Котин; born 28 March 1962) is a former competitive figure skater who represented the Soviet Union. He is a four-time European silver medalist (1985–88), the 1978 World Junior silver medalist, and the 1985 Soviet national champion. Peter Johansson (figure Skater)
Peter Johansson (born 2 April 1967 in Näsby, Örebro) is a Swedish retired competitive figure skater. He is a four-time Swedish national champion. He currently works as a coach in Boston, Massachusetts with Mark Mitchell. Ralf Burghart
Ralph Burghart (born 16 September 1966) is an Austrian figure skating coach and former competitor. A seven-time Austrian national champion, he competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics and placed 18th. Personal life Ralph Burghart was born on 16 September 1966 in Vienna, Austria. He married U.S. figure skater Rory Flack in December 1992. They have two sons, Rendell, born 28 September 1993, and Remington, born 17 January 1997. Their elder son plays tennis for Division 1, Eastern Washington University and the younger competes in figure skating. Burghart and Flack divorced by 2009. He is now married to Cheryl Burghart. Oliver Höner (born 18 September 1966) is a Swiss figure skating coach and former competitor. A member of EC Zürich, he became an eleven-time (1979, 1980, 1982, 1984–1991) Swiss national champion and placed in the top ten at five ISU Championships – four Europeans and the 1989 Worlds in Paris. Petr Barna
Petr Barna (born 9 March 1966) is a Czech former competitive figure skater who competed for Czechoslovakia. He is the 1992 European champion, the 1992 Olympic bronze medalist, and a seven-time Czechoslovak national champion. Personal life Barna was born 9 March 1966 in Prague. In 1990, he married ice dancer Andrea Juklová, with whom he has a daughter, Sofie Barnová, born in April 1992. Career Barna started skating in Prague at an outdoor rink and received lessons from 1972. He began appearing at senior internationals in the 1982–83 season. He was coached by František Pechar. Barna sprained his right ankle as he was leaving the airport in Birmingham on his way to the 1989 European Championships.
