Peter Johansson (figure Skater)
Peter Johansson (born 2 April 1967 in Näsby, Örebro) is a Swedish retired competitive figure skater. He is a four-time Swedish national champion. He currently works as a coach in Boston, Massachusetts with Mark Mitchell. Competitive career Johansson competed at five European Figure Skating Championships, four World Figure Skating Championships, and the 1988 Winter Olympics. He won the Swedish Figure Skating Championships four consecutive times. Coaching career Johansson currently works as a coach at the Skating Club of Boston. Ross Miner
Ross Miner (born January 24, 1991) is an American skating coach and retired competitive figure skater. He is the 2012 Four Continents bronze medalist, 2009 JGP Final bronze medalist, 2013 and 2018 U.S. national silver medalist and 2009 U.S. junior champion. In 2021, Miner was suspended from coaching for six months by the United States Center for SafeSport, for sexual harassment. Personal life Ross Miner was born in Burlington, Vermont. In addition to figure skating, he also played hockey until the age of 12. Miner moved from Williston, Vermont, to Watertown, Massachusetts, when he was 12. Skate America
Skate America is an international, senior-level figure skating competition held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. It is hosted by U.S. Figure Skating. The location changes yearly. Medals are awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Nordic Figure Skating Championships
The Nordic Championships (''Nordiska Mästerskapen'') are an annual elite figure skating competition. It was originally open only to representatives of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. However, representatives of any ISU member nation may enter the senior-level event since 2011 and in the junior-level event since 2020. The novice-level competition remains restricted to the Nordic countries. Medals may be awarded on the senior, junior, and novice levels in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing, although the latter two disciplines are often omitted due to lack of entries. Emily Hughes
Emily Anne Hughes (born January 26, 1989) is an American former figure skater. She is the 2007 Four Continents silver medalist and 2007 U.S. national silver medalist. She competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics, finishing 7th. Personal life Hughes was born in Great Neck, New York. Her father, John Hughes, was a Canadian of Irish descent, and was the captain of the NCAA champion 1969–70 Cornell University ice hockey team. Her mother, Amy Pastarnack, is Jewish and is a breast cancer survivor. Hughes has supported a variety of causes for breast cancer research and awareness, including Skating for Life, a television special that she promoted on NBC's Today show. She has five siblings.
