1987–88 ACB Season
The 1987–88 ACB season was the 5th season of the ACB Primera División, the top Spanish professional basketball league. It started on 26 September 1987 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 24 May 1988 with the finals. FC Barcelona won their second consecutive ACB title, and their fifth Spanish title. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. The league is a corporation where president Antonio Martín is responsible for its management, whilst the member clubs act as shareholders. CD Oximesa
Club Deportivo Oximesa was a professional basketball club based in Albolote, Spain. History CD Oximesa was founded in 1979 and started playing in the Provincial League, promoting in its first year to Tercera División (Spanish fourth tier). In 1983 promotes to Primera División B, second tier, and in 1986 promotes to Liga ACB, where it plays until the relegation in 1992. In this year, the team is moved to Granada and renamed as Baloncesto Granada. After the 1992–93 season in Primera B, the team is dissolved. San Cristóbal de La Laguna (commonly known as La Laguna, ) is a city and municipality in the northern part of the island of Tenerife in the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the Canary Islands, Spain. Granollers () is a city in central Catalonia, about 30 kilometres north-east of Barcelona. It is the capital and most densely populated city in the comarca of Vallès Oriental.
