Slovenian Republic League
The Slovenian Republic Football League ( sl, Slovenska republiška nogometna liga) was the highest football league in Slovenia within the Yugoslav football system. During the time of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia it was known as the Ljubljana Subassociation League ( sl, Prvenstvo Ljubljanske nogometne podzveze) and was one of the qualifying tournaments for the Yugoslav Championship. During the time of Yugoslavia, it was a third level league for most of the time, but became a fourth level in 1988. Before that, the winner was promoted to the Yugoslav Second League, and after that it was promoted to the Yugoslav Inter-Republic League. NK Celje
Nogometni klub Celje ( en, Celje Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Celje or simply Celje (), is an association football club from Celje, Slovenia. They play in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. Together with Maribor, they are the only club that have participated in every season of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its formation in 1991. Celje won their first league title in the 2019–20 season. They have also won the 2004–05 edition of the Slovenian Cup. History The club was formed in 1919 as ''SK Celje''. Soon after the World War II, in 1946, the club changed its name to ''NK Kladivar'' (expressionistic term in Slovene for a blacksmith). In 1964 they qualified for the Yugoslav Second League, where they played for one year. NK Slavija Vevče
Nogometni klub Slavija Vevče ( en, Slavija Vevče Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Slavija Vevče or simply Slavija, was a Slovenian football club based in Vevče. The club was formed in 1921 and played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga in the 1994–95 season, after they replaced Svoboda before the start of the competition. They were sponsored by local printing company SET for most of the time, therefore their first team often played under the name SET Vevče rather than Slavija. In 1996, they merged with Slovan and moved to Kodeljevo to play there as ND Slovan-Slavija for three seasons. They have won the Slovenian Second League in 1996–97, but were then relegated from the first and second divisions in two seasons. Nogometni klub Železničar Maribor ( en, Železničar Maribor Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Železničar Maribor or simply Železničar, was a Slovenian football club from Maribor. They qualified for the top division of Slovenian football, the Slovenian PrvaLiga, in the 1992–93 season, but were relegated in their first season, never returning to the top level. Nogometno društvo Slovan or simply ND Slovan is a Slovenian football club based in Ljubljana that competes in the Slovenian Third League, the third tier of Slovenian football. The team play their home matches at the Kodeljevo Sports Park. The traditional colours of the club are red and white. History The club was founded in 1913 and has held its original name since then. Nogometni klub Drava Ptuj ( en, Drava Ptuj Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Drava Ptuj or simply Drava, was a Slovenian Association football, football club, which played in the town of Ptuj. Named after the Drava river which flows through the town, Drava Ptuj has spent a total of seven season in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the top division of the football in Slovenia, Slovenian football pyramid. The club was dissolved following the 2010–11 Slovenian Second League when they were unable to obtain competition licences issued by the Football Association of Slovenia. In 2004, the club founded FC Drava Ptuj, NŠ Drava Ptuj, which was to be responsible for the club's youth selections. They played in the Slovenian top division for five consecutive seasons during the early 1990s. The club was dissolved after the 1995–96 Slovenian PrvaLiga season. History The club was founded in 1923 as ''Club Calcistico Giovanile Isola d'Istria'', when the city of Isola was part of Italy. It was known as ''Ampelea Isola d'Istria'' between 1930 and 1946, and played in Serie C between 1937 and 1946. ND Ilirija 1911
Nogometno društvo Ilirija 1911 is a Slovenian football club from Ljubljana which competes in the Slovenian Second League. The club was founded in June 1911 and is the oldest still active football club in the country. History SK Ilirija (1911–1941) At the beginning of the 20th century, football came to Ljubljana from Vienna and was played mostly by the students. Football club Ilirija was founded on 9 June 1911 in a pub called Roža on Židovska cesta in Ljubljana. Albin Kandare was elected as the first president of Ilirija, and their first ground was at Tivoli Park. Ilirija's first match was played on 30 July 1911, and ended in an 18–0 defeat against Hermes, the local students' club which had been founded in 1910.
