NK Slavija Vevče
Nogometni klub Slavija Vevče ( en, Slavija Vevče Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Slavija Vevče or simply Slavija, was a Slovenian football club based in Vevče. The club was formed in 1921 and played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga in the 1994–95 season, after they replaced Svoboda before the start of the competition. They were sponsored by local printing company SET for most of the time, therefore their first team often played under the name SET Vevče rather than Slavija. In 1996, they merged with Slovan and moved to Kodeljevo to play there as ND Slovan-Slavija for three seasons. They have won the Slovenian Second League in 1996–97, but were then relegated from the first and second divisions in two seasons. After 1999, Slavija was eventually left out of the club's name, playing from then onwards only as Slovan. ND Slovan
Nogometno društvo Slovan or simply ND Slovan is a Slovenian football club based in Ljubljana that competes in the Slovenian Third League, the third tier of Slovenian football. The team play their home matches at the Kodeljevo Sports Park. The traditional colours of the club are red and white. History The club was founded in 1913 and has held its original name since then. They have won the Slovenian Republic League twice, in 1965 and 1983, and participated in the Yugoslav Second League in 1965–66 and 1983–84. Slovan also won the Slovenian Republic Cup in 1982. After 1991, Slovan played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga for three seasons, scoring 10th, 11th and 15th place. Vevče
Vevče (; in older sources also ''Velče''''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. It is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. Geography Vevče is a dense industrialized settlement south of Polje on both sides of the Ljubljanica River, but mostly on the left bank. It is connected by roads to Polje and Zgornji Kašelj, and by a bridge to Zadvor. To the west, near Slape, there is a large spring that once served as a swimming area. The Slovenian PrvaLiga ( sl, Prva slovenska nogometna liga, ), currently named Prva liga Telemach due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. SNL, is the top level of the Football in Slovenia, Slovenian football league system. Contested by ten clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Slovenian Second League (2. SNL). Seasons typically run from July to May with each team playing 36 matches. The competition was founded in 1991 after Slovenia became an independent country. The Slovenian Second Football League ( sl, Druga slovenska nogometna liga or commonly 2. SNL) is the second highest Association football, football league in Slovenia. The league was formed in 1991 and is operated by the Football Association of Slovenia. Format and rules In its inaugural season (1991–92 Slovenian Second League, 1991–92), the Slovenian Second League was divided into two regional groups (East and West), with both winners directly promoted to the Slovenian PrvaLiga. In 1992, a unified league was formed with 16 clubs playing the Round-robin tournament, round-robin system, which lasted until 2003. Two clubs were usually promoted, while the number of those relegated varied with the number of divisions in the Slovenian Third League.
