ND Slovan
Nogometno društvo Slovan or simply ND Slovan is a Slovenian football club based in Ljubljana that competes in the Slovenian Third League, the third tier of Slovenian football. The team play their home matches at the Kodeljevo Sports Park. The traditional colours of the club are red and white. History The club was founded in 1913 and has held its original name since then. They have won the Slovenian Republic League twice, in 1965 and 1983, and participated in the Yugoslav Second League in 1965–66 and 1983–84. Slovan also won the Slovenian Republic Cup in 1982. After 1991, Slovan played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga for three seasons, scoring 10th, 11th and 15th place. In 1996 they merged with Slavija Vevče and formed ND Slovan-Slavija, which played in top flight under the sponsorship name Set Vevče in 1997–98, but was relegated at the end of the season. Slovenian First League
The Slovenian PrvaLiga ( sl, Prva slovenska nogometna liga, ), currently named Prva liga Telemach due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. SNL, is the top level of the Slovenian football league system. Contested by ten clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Slovenian Second League (2. SNL). Seasons typically run from July to May with each team playing 36 matches. The competition was founded in 1991 after Slovenia became an independent country. From 1920 until the end of the 1990–91 season, the Slovenian Republic League was a lower division within the Yugoslav league system. The league is governed by the Football Association of Slovenia. NK Slavija Vevče
Nogometni klub Slavija Vevče ( en, Slavija Vevče Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Slavija Vevče or simply Slavija, was a Slovenian football club based in Vevče. The club was formed in 1921 and played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga in the 1994–95 season, after they replaced Svoboda before the start of the competition. They were sponsored by local printing company SET for most of the time, therefore their first team often played under the name SET Vevče rather than Slavija. In 1996, they merged with Slovan and moved to Kodeljevo to play there as ND Slovan-Slavija for three seasons. They have won the Slovenian Second League in 1996–97, but were then relegated from the first and second divisions in two seasons. The Slovenian Republic Football League ( sl, Slovenska republiška nogometna liga) was the highest football league in Slovenia within the Yugoslav football system. During the time of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia it was known as the Ljubljana Subassociation League ( sl, Prvenstvo Ljubljanske nogometne podzveze) and was one of the qualifying tournaments for the Yugoslav Championship.
