The 1974 Trofeo Vat 69 – Doubles was an event of the 1974 Trofeo Vat 69 men's tennis tournament and was played on outdoor clay courts in Florence, Italy between 6 May and 12 May 1974. The draw consisted of 16 teams. Paolo Bertolucci
Paolo Bertolucci (born 3 August 1951) is an Italian former professional tennis player. He is currently working as sport commentator for Italian SKY Italia, Sky TV. Bertolucci won the Davis Cup with Italy in 1976. His greatest success on ATP Tour was the victory at the 1977 Hamburg Masters, where he beat Manuel Orantes in the final in four sets. In 1976, Bertolucci also won the Grand Prix tennis, Grand Prix tournaments of ATP Florence, Florence and Torneo Godó, Barcelona. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 12, achieved in August 1973. Bertolucci was non-playing-captain of the Italy Davis Cup team from 1985 to 2001. Onny Parun
Onny Parun (born 15 April 1947) is a former tennis player of Croatian descent from New Zealand, who was among the world's top 20 for five years and who reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 1971 and 1972. He made the final of the Australian Open in 1973, losing to John Newcombe in four sets, and was a US Open quarterfinalist in 1973 and also a quarterfinalist at the French Open in 1975. He eventually went on to coach the Bhatti brothers. Parun and Australian Dick Crealy won the French Open doubles title in 1974. He also made the Masters in 1974, qualifying by finishing in the top eight on the grand prix table. Pietro Marzano (born 29 August 1949) is a former professional tennis player from Italy who was active in the 1960s and 1970s. His best singles result at a Grand Slam tournament was reaching the third round at the French Open in 1969 in which he lost in straight sets to first-seeded and eventual champion Rod Laver. At the Australian Open earlier that year he had a walkover against Tom Okker in the first round and lost in three sets to Toomas Leius in the second. At Wimbledon he took part in the singles qualifying event in 1970, 1972 and 1973. In 1972 he qualified for the main draw but lost in the first round. Both other years he failed to qualify, however, in 1973 he was admitted to the main draw as a lucky loser. Corrado Barazzutti (born 19 February 1953, in Udine) is a former tennis player from Italy. His career-high singles ranking was World No. 7, achieved in August 1978. After his player career Barazzutti was non-playing captain of the Italy Davis Cup team and the Italy Fed Cup team. Since he has been captain, the Italian Fed Cup team have won the Fed Cup (now known as Billie Jean King Cup) four times: 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013. is a former professional tennis player from Japan. Biography Kuki, a right-hander, played collegiate tennis in the United States for UCLA. He had an unbeaten season in 1969, with a 13–0 record. He was first picked for the Japan Davis Cup team in the 1971 tournament. His best performance in a Grand Slam tournament came at the 1971 French Open when he had wins over Phil Dent and Petre Mărmureanu, before losing a five-set third round match to Bob Lutz. In April 1976 he had the most prolific period of his career when he finished runner-up in a further two Grand Prix tournaments, both in Spain.
