1974 AD is a Nepali rock band, formed in Kathmandu, Nepal in the early 1990s. They experiment with various genres of music including Nepali folk, ragas, rock, funk, blues and jazz. 1974 AD are amongst the most successful recording artists in Nepal. Most of their albums are ranked amongst the top-ten best-selling albums according to Hits FM of Nepal. Nepali (; , ) is an Indo-Aryan language native to the Himalayas region of South Asia. It is the official, and most widely spoken, language of Nepal, where it also serves as a '' lingua franca''. Rohit John Chettri, also known as RJC, is a singer, musician, music producer, lyricist and guitarist from Kathmandu. Early life Chettri's father was a music lover, and they used to play musical instruments like guitar and harmonium together when his father would come back home in the evening after work. When he was seven years old, he took part in an inter-school competition where he had to choose to either dance, sketch or sing, Chettri sang a song of Karna Das called "Jindagi ko k bharosa". Dasharath Stadium
Dasharath Rangasala ( ne, दशरथ रंगशाला; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is named after Dasharath Chand, one of the four great martyrs of Nepal. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and cultural programmes. It has floodlights installed, to facilitate matches and events in the evenings.
