Rohit John Chettri
Rohit John Chettri, also known as RJC, is a singer, musician, music producer, lyricist and guitarist from Kathmandu. Early life Chettri's father was a music lover, and they used to play musical instruments like guitar and harmonium together when his father would come back home in the evening after work. When he was seven years old, he took part in an inter-school competition where he had to choose to either dance, sketch or sing, Chettri sang a song of Karna Das called "Jindagi ko k bharosa". According to Chettri, this is when he realized he would become a singer-songwriter In class 9, he formed a band with his friends called "Derailed" where he was the vocalist and drummer. After class 10, or SLC, Chettri started performing at various pubs, bars and private events. In 2011, he started working at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. Phiroj Shyangden () is an Indian singer (American citizen), guitarist, composer, songwriter in the Nepali language. He is the founding member of the band 1974 AD and The Original Duo. Shyangden lives in New York, USA. Early life Phiroj Shyangden was born to parents Kharkey Shyangden (father) and the late Narbada Shyangden (mother) in Takvar Tea Estate, Darjeeling, India. He went to Betten High School in Tukvar, Darjeeling and completed his college degree form Darjeeling Government College, North Bengal University, India in 1986. Shyangden is a self-taught vocalist and studied western classical music (guitar) from Jeeven Pradhan (Darjeeling Melody Academy), a noted music teacher from Darjeeling. Adrian Pradhan
Adrian Pradhan (born August 18) is a Nepalese vocalist, composer and songwriter of Nepali music. He was born and raised in Kalimpong, India. He is the lead member of the Nepali rock band 1974 AD. Pradhan was the lead vocalist of the band until March 2015, after which he was replaced by Rohit John Chhetri. Pradhan reunited with the band in 2019 and has been associated with 1974 AD since. Early life Pradhan's musical journey started during his school years at St. Augustine's School, Kalimpong, where he was a member of the school choir. The mouth organ and keyboard were his first instruments and he picked up the guitar in the year 1989 and switched to drums in the year 1995. Karna Das (Nepali: कर्ण दास) (born 24 November 1974 in Pokhara, Nepal), is a Nepali musician, singer, songwriter, lyricist, composer, and record producer. Das is regarded as the "living legend" of the Nepali music landscape. He is revered for his soothing and melodious timbre and also for his distinct songwriting attributed with immense depth and earnestness. His lyrics spans topics such as philosophical and existential issues of mankind, perseverance, overcoming ordeals, lamentation, hope, anti-fatalism, and patriotism.
