1969 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 1969 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 60th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 26 January 1969. The championship ran from 20 April to 28 September 1969. The final was played on 28 September 1969 at the Castlemarty Grounds, between Youghal and Cobh, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Youghal won the match by 3-07 to 0-13 to claim their second championship title overall and a first title in 14 years. Cloyne GAA club is located in the small town of Cloyne in County Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club plays in the Imokilly GAA, Imokilly division of Cork GAA. Founded in 1887 they have yet to win a Cork Senior Hurling Championship title and have the dubious distinction of losing in 3 successive finals (2004, 2005 and 2006). Fermoy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association based in the town of Fermoy, Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in competitions organized by the Cork GAA county board and the Avondhu GAA divisional board. The club plays both Gaelic football and hurling. History Fermoy Gaelic Athletic Association club was founded in 1886 at a meeting in the National League Rooms (now called Fermoy Commercial club in O'Neill Crowley Quay or present home to the Fermoy Bridge club). William Troy was the club's first chairman. Glen Rovers GAA
Glen Rovers is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Blackpool, Cork, Ireland. The club was founded in 1916 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. They were Cork senior hurling champions in 2015 and 2016, having won their first title in 26 years in 2015. They retained the championship in 2016, when they beat Erin's Own in the final. Newtownshandrum GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the small village of Newtownshandrum in County Cork, Ireland. The club, situated in half a parish of about 800 people, was founded in 1896 and is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. In senior hurling Newtownshandrum compete annually in the Cork Senior Club Hurling Championship, which they have won four times as of 2009. Ballinhassig is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Ballinhassig in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in 1886, and now plays Hurling at Premier Intermediate level, having won the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship in 2005, and the Cork Junior Hurling Championship in 2002. Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club on the southside of Cork city, Ireland. Kilworth GAA
Kilworth GAA, or ''Cill Úird'', is a hurling and Gaelic football club located in the village of Kilworth in the north-eastern corner of County Cork, Ireland. It is affiliated to Cork GAA county board and to Avondhu GAA divisional board. History It was affiliated in 1928 as a football Club and 1933 as a hurling Club, and two years later saw Kilworth gain their first honours when they captured the Novice hurling championship at Dromina's expense. A long period elapsed before Kilworth once again tasted championship success, this being the 1961 North Cork Junior hurling championship. Kildorrery were the opponents on the day but Kilworth proved too strong winning out on a score line of 3–5 to 1–4.
