The 1966 Cork Junior Football Championship was the 68th staging of the Cork Junior A Football Championship since its establishment by Cork County Board in 1895. The championship ran from 9 October to 11 December 1966. The final, which went to a replay, was played on 11 December 1966 at the Athletic Grounds in Cork, between Dohenys and Grange, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Dohenys won the match by 3-08 to 1-06 to claim their second championship title overall and a first title in 31 years. Carbery GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling division in the south-west area of County Cork, Ireland. Ballincollig GAA
Ballincollig GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling club based in the town of Ballincollig, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated with the Cork GAA board and plays in the Muskerry divisional competitions. In 2009, the club will participate in the Cork Senior Football Championship and the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship. History The GAA itself was founded in 1884 and the first Cork County Board was formed in 1886 with 21 teams from across the county. Muskerry GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling division located in the middle region of County Cork, Ireland. It is one of eight divisions of Cork GAA County Board. Knocknagree GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Knocknagree in the north-west of County Cork, Ireland. Although approximately one mile from the border with Kerry, Knocknagree is officially in the parish of Rathmore with the majority of this parish in Kerry putting Knocknagree in front line when it comes to Cork-Kerry rivalry. Duhallow Junior A Football Championship
The Duhallow Junior A Football Championship is the top footballing competition in the Duhallow division in Cork. It was first run after the formation of the Duhallow division in 1933. The Championship includes a group stage, therefore every team has at least 2 matches. The winners and runner up of this competition go on to compete in the Cork Junior A Football Championship. Cullen are the title-holders after defeating Kanturk by 4-16 to 1-02 in the 2022 championship final played in Boherbue. Format Group stage The 6 teams are divided into two groups of three.
