Knocknagree GAA
Knocknagree GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Knocknagree in the north-west of County Cork, Ireland. Although approximately one mile from the border with Kerry, Knocknagree is officially in the parish of Rathmore with the majority of this parish in Kerry putting Knocknagree in front line when it comes to Cork-Kerry rivalry. The club plays Gaelic football in the Intermediate grade in Cork after winning the 2017 Cork County Junior Championship for the 3rd time defeating Erin's Own in the final. The main pitch has been floodlit since 2006. In 2007 it hosted the first Duhallow Junior A Football Championship final to be played under lights. Ballydemond were victorious over Dromtarriffe on the occasion. Duhallow GAA
Duhallow GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling division in the barony of Duhallow, County Cork, Ireland. This barony is situated in the northwest region of the county, and includes towns such as Kanturk, Millstreet, and Newmarket. It is one of eight divisions of Cork County Board. It organizes competitions for the clubs within the division, from Under 12 up to the adult level. The winners of these competitions compete against other divisional champions to determine which club is the county champion. In addition, the division selects football and hurling teams from the adult teams playing at junior level or county intermediate level, and these then compete for the Cork Senior Football Championship and Cork Senior Hurling Championship. Niall O'Connor (Gaelic Footballer)
Niall O'Connor (born 1960) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. At club level he played with Knocknagree, divisional side Duhallow and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. Career O'Connor's first Gaelic football successes came as a schoolboy at Rathmore Vocational School. During his time there he won an All-Ireland schools' title in 1978, while he was also a member of the Kerry inter-county vocational schools' team that won consecutive All-Ireland titles. O'Connor also joined the Knocknagree adult club team around this time and won the first of nine Duhallow JAFC titles in 1978. He also won Cork JAFC titles in 1984 and 1991. O'Connor's performances at club level saw him join the Duhallow divisional team and he won consecutive Cork SFC titles in 1990 and 1991. John Fintan Daly
John Fintan Daly (born 1957) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. In a coaching career that has spanned over 40 years, he has enjoyed All-Ireland successes at club and inter-county levels. He has three children, notably John Fintan Daly Jr. (known as 'Small John' and 'Big Small John'). Management career Daly's playing career with Knocknagree ended prematurely when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury as a 20-year-old, however, he immediately became involved in team management and coaching with the club. Over the course of a 40-year association, he has guided the club to numerous junior divisional championship titles before managing the team to the All-Ireland Club Championship title in 2017. Daly had earlier managed the Milltown/Castlemaine club in Kerry to the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship at intermediate level in 2012. The Cork Under-21 Football Championship is a Gaelic football competition in County Cork, Ireland for players under the age of 21. Clubs affiliated to Cork board compete to win this championship. All eight of the divisions in Cork organize their own championship. The divisional winners compete against each other to decide the county title. 2020 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship
The 2020 Cork Premier Senior Football Championship was the inaugural staging of the Cork Premier Senior Football Championship and the 132nd staging overall of a championship for the top-ranking Gaelic football teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 19 November 2019. The championship was scheduled to begin in April 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The championship eventually began on 24 July 2020 and, after being suspended once again on 5 October 2020, and eventually ended on 29 August 2021. Nemo Rangers were the defending champions. The final was played on 29 August 2021 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Castlehaven and Nemo Rangers, in what was their third final meeting and their first in six years.
